Digital Engagement Specialist at UN-Habitat

• The Consultant will be under the overall leadership of the Leader, Planning, Finance and Economy Section and report to the Manager of the Young Gamechangers Initiative

Specific Responsibilities 

• Facilitate training of trainings and community participation workshops using digital tools including Minecraft
• Produce high-quality Minecraft models for community workshops
• Train UN-Habitat staff, implementing partners, community groups and target community members on the use of digital engagement tools
• Produce information and communications materials, including images and videos from each workshop
• Prepare a final report of each participatory design workshop
• Provide gamification and digital engagement inputs to ongoing planning initiatives
• Develop critical analysis of existing planning documents and instruments.
• Develop clear digital proposals, drawings and related reports for partner cities.
• Provide inputs to guides, policy briefs and normative outputs
• Provide inputs into PFES publications and documents

Qualifications/special skills

Education

• A first-level university degree in information technology, gaming and animation technology, games programming, game design and development, multimedia design or related field is required. Experience At least two years of work experience in using digital engagement tools including Minecraft, including the production of models server administration and community management or related fields is required Experience of producing advocacy and communications materials and facilitating workshops or teaching is an added advatange.
