    Administrator For Mabati Technical Training Institute

    Job Description

    To ensure smooth running of the Mabati Technical Training Institute (MTTI) and ensure that effective structures are established for the growth and success of Safal MRM Foundation Education programs.

    Specification

    1. Manage the day to day operations of the Mabati Technical Training Institute by ensuring that trainees are admitted following the laid down criteria.
    2. Supervise MTTI staff by ensuring that all Human Resource policy guidelines are adhered to.
    3. Ensure that TVETA & NITA syllabus and policies are implemented according to the laid down guidelines
    4. Maintain a good relationship with industries for providing industrial attachment & job linkages to increase employment opportunities for MTTI graduates.
    5. Support with resource mobilization by establishing linkages with donors in consultation with the Foundation Head.
    6. Consolidate regular reports to the donors as per their requirements in consultation with the Foundation Head.
    7. Responsible for the day to day management of the budget of the Institute as approved by BOT
    8. Ensure that annual financial Audits and regular project evaluations are successfully undertaken in line with the sponsors/ donors guidelines.
    9. Ensure the Institute’s infrastructure is well maintained and all the assets are well secured and well maintained.
    10. Oversee the daily operations of the production units by ensuring that they are managed profitably
    11. Responsible for all the procurements of training and production materials at MTTI within the approved budget using the existing procurement structure.

    Requirements

    1. Bachelor’s Degree in technical education, development studies or youth development-related field.
    2. Over 5 years’ experience in TVET education sector and experience in managing Technical Training Institute
    3. Extensive knowledge of Government regulations & guidelines from the Ministry of Education, TVET & NITA
    4. Minimum 5 years of leadership and management experience, Human Resource management skills
    5. Familiarity with development partners, donors, international organizations and other actors relevant to TVET in Kenya/Africa.
    6. Experience in financial management, good organizational skills and demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks
    7. Excellent project cycle management skills, including experience working with senior levels of government and the private sector players
