    Head of Retail Marketing

    JOB SUMMARY / PURPOSE:

    Work behind the scenes to ensure products sell well and that the company hits its overall sales goals. A fast paced role that requires creative thinking and meeting tight deadlines. Responsible for overall success of the retail sales which entails meeting financial and service targets. Further responsible for maximizing margin potential and identifying and implementing new products whilst maintaining the highest level of service. 

    WHAT YOU’LL DO:

    1. Provide costs and sales analysis on all retail stock offerings.
    2. Maintenance of departmental OKRs and KPIs.
    3. Stock control - responsible for minimizing stock levels along with monitoring of all stock producing accurate monthly departmental stock reports; and identifying and maintaining rolling stock.
    4. Maintain accurate cost and sales information as well as client data-base information.
    5. Create enjoyable customer experiences which exceed customary standards and service levels.
    6. Maintain brand standards with presentation and service.
    7. Responsible for liaising with marketing and sales to initiate, create and implement promotions and events.
    8. Presentation of new marketing campaigns and new business ideas basing their validity on budgeting concerns and potential for success.
    9. Analyze the performance of their marketing campaigns - using data analytics and report on marketing metrics.
    10. Ensure performance issues, and other issues within the retail stores are addressed in an appropriate and timely manner.
    11. Any other duties assigned by management.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Degree in Marketing / Business / Business Development related discipline.
    • Minimum 5 years experience in retail / retail marketing / retail sales.
    • Proficiency in market research.
    • Multiple campaign management.
    • Conversant with tools of trade: social media; marketing tools - Hootsuite; google analytics; presentation tools - google slides; and e-commerce software.
    • Pitching strategy.
    • Team player with leadership skills.
