Job  Purpose:  To  manage  and  coordinate  the  implementation  of  the  Centre  for  Green  Growth  & Climate Change strategy, support the commercialization concept within the centre as well as across KAM to ensure success, sustainability and delivery of profitable green growth services  

Key Objectives

1. Oversight implementation of the CGGCC strategy at KAM;
2. Development  and  Marketing  of  Centre’s  services  and  products  to  increase  revenue  and profitability of KAM Consulting  
3. Develop relevant partnerships to support in delivery of the centre’s strategies  
4. Effective  data  analysis  and  management  to  support  advocacy  towards  industry’s  green transition and sustainability.

 Duties and Responsibilities  

1. Specific duties and responsibilities include, but not limited to the following:-
2. Perform coordination and supervisory functions to the CGGCC section initiatives at KAM
3. Consulting for the benefit of the industry and other target sectors;
4. Put in place an implementation plan for the KAM Green Growth Strategy in consultation with the management and relevant committee and ensure key milestones are achieved in time  as per them workplan;
5. Review  the  marketing  strategy  for  CGGCC  product  portfolio  and  pricing  model  for  the  same  to have  a  clear  financial  forecast  of  the  revenue  to  be  generated  and  manage  the  marketing  of centre services to ensure achievement of set targets;
6. Provide  KAM  members  with  green  growth  firm  level  services  leaning  towards  best  practices  in terms  of;  Capacity  Development,  Technology  development  and  transfer,  process  optimization, resource efficiency and green investment linkages;  
7. Coordinate  Energy  audits,  Water  audits  and  Energy  Efficiency  trainings  conducted  at  CEEC  by managing consultants and reviewing the  quality of consultants reports for approval by the Head of KAM Consulting;
8. Link bankable green projects at a reasonable facilitation fee with financial partners and develop a strong investment ready pipeline of projects;
9. Support  KAM  Consulting  Unit  Head  in  development  and  commercialization  of  new  products  to increase revenue streams and profitability of CGGCC;
10. Develop a pipeline of green funds and develop concepts/proposals to attract funding partnerships to sustain the centre initiatives for the benefit of KAM members;
11. Coordinate  the  CGGCC  advocacy,  consulting,  and  management  services  initiatives  to  ensure enterprises adopt green growth practices in their operations;
12. Supervise  the  provision  of  technical  advice  on  issues  related  to  firm  level  energy  efficiency  and other resources management including water/waste water and raw materials utilization;
13. Coordinate resource efficiency related studies and analytical documentation of the  study results;
14. Advise  and  Lobby  for  the  provision  of  affordable  and  reliable  electricity  for  industrial  consumers in  liaison  with  the  Association  of  Large  Electricity  Consumers  (AOLEC)  and  Energy  Committee  to ensure concerns of the greater KAM membership are represented to the Government;
15. Supervise  the  organization  and  facilitation  of  meetings  with  relevant  committees/councils  and
16. ensure follow up of agreed actions;  
17. Assist  industry  to  link  up  with  Energy  service  providers  to  facilitate  energy  audits  and  support implementation of renewable energy and energy efficiency projects in their facilities.
18. Provide guidance to direct reports, monitor and review their work plans and performance;
19. Prepare all necessary documentation and progress reports for CEEC as necessary or as required,by the immediate supervisor;
20. Perform any other duty as may be assigned by the Chief Executive.

 
Person specifications.

1. Bachelor’s degree in Energy or Environmental or Engineering or related field,  
2. A master’s degree in relevant field is an added advantage
3. Technical experience in energy matters or green growth or circular economy or climate change as,an added advantage;
4. Excellent experience in project management
5. Over Eight (8) years experience, 5 of which should be in management level positions in a busy
6. and comparable work environment of energy, service of manufacturing sector orientation;
7. Excellent interpersonal, people and communication skills both oral and written;
