The School Principal serves as the educational leader and chief administrator of the school. S/he is responsible for implementing and managing the policies, regulations, and procedures of the MOE, vision and mission of the school.  S/he ensures that all students are supervised in a safe, child-centered learning environment that meets and exceeds the MOE Standards, follows the approved curricula. 

Achieving academic excellence requires that the Principal works collaboratively to lead and nurture all members of the school staff and to communicate effectively with parents, members of the community and colleagues in other schools. 

The principal is responsible for planning, curriculum development, program evaluation, extracurricular activities, personnel management, emergency procedures, curriculum resource utilization and maintenance of school infrastructure. 

Minimum requirements

• Must be a holder of a Bachelor’s degree in Education from a recognized university. 
• A Masters or a post-graduate qualification in education is preferred 
• Must have at least 2 years’ experience as a Head Teacher; 3 years’ experience as a Deputy Head Teacher or 5 years’ experience as a HoD/Head of a School Section in a reputable school. 
• Must be a registered teacher under the Teachers Service Commission (TSC). 
• Must be proficient in ICT integration in education, online instruction and blended learning. 
• Good understanding of and experience in building school teams, curriculum management, design, implementation and evaluation of both 8-4-4 and CBC curriculums. 
• Experience in high school will be an advantage.
