    Cardiac Catheterization Lab Manager

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Reports to the Lead Interventional Cardiologist
    • Responsible for the employees of the Cathlab and management of their shifts. 
    • Controlling the facilities, equipments and other equivalent material assets of the unit.
    • Incharge of budgeting of the resources to be utilised at the unit to avoid cost of errors that could result in significant financial implication and might affect overall corporate results.  

    Required Qualifications

    • Bachelor of Science in Nursing
    • Higher Diploma in Critical Care. 
    • Certificate in Computer application skills from a recognized institution.
    • Registration Certificate issued by the Nursing Council of Kenya;
    • Valid practicing license from Nursing Council of Kenya and
    • Minimum of two years’ experience from working in a busy Cathlab as a Manager or Assistant Manager.

    Director Finance & Administration

    Terms of Service: Three years contract renewable

    Duties & Responsibilities

    • Preparation of budget for the recurrent and development votes;
    • Preparation of quarterly expenditure forecasts:
    • Analyzing, formulating and overseeing the management of fiscal and other economic policies:
    • Formulating, implementing and analyzing tax policies such as property rates, entertainment taxes and any other tax that the County is authorized to impose by an Act of Parliament;
    • Monitoring Fiscal sectors and County and CGTRH reforms;
    • Initiating of proposals seeking funds for additional expenditure and reallocation of voted funds during the year,
    • Monitoring of expenditure and projects including programme implementation of a periodic basis and ensuring timely corrective action is taken;
    • Performing any other duties assigned by the immediate supervisor.

    Required Qualifications

    • Must be a Kenyan citizen
    • Served for cumulative seven (7) years three (3) of which have been at the grade of Deputy Director Accounting, Job Group ‘Q’ and above or in a comparable and relevant position in the Public Service;
    • Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (Accounting or finance option)
    • A holder of a Master’s degree in any of the following disciplines: Business Management/Administration, Finance, Economics or Commerce from a recognized institution will be an added advantage.
    • Registered with the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK) in good standing.
    • Attained qualifications as a Certified Public Accountant CPA (K) and registered with ICPAK will be desirable.
    • A certificate in Strategic Leadership and Development Programme Course from a recognized institution is desirable;
    • Any other relevant duty as may be assigned from time to time

    Catheterization Laboratory Technologist (cath lab radiographer)

    Terms of Service: Three years contract renewable

    Duties & Responsibilities

    • To prepare patients for procedures; explain what will happen during tests and procedures, and provide a little reassurance to patients.
    • Assist in cardiac catheterization.
    • To assist in imaging procedure which involves inserting a hollow catheter into a blood vessel in the arm or leg.
    • Monitor the patient’s heart rate and other vital signs during the catheterization and detect even slight abnormalities and report them to the cardiologist immediately.
    • Assist in other procedures such as open heart surgery or the placement of pacemakers.
    • Cleaning equipment, updating medical records and moving and lifting patients, if necessary.

    Required Qualifications

    • Diploma in Radiography and Higher Diploma in Interventional radiography

    OR

    • Bachelors in Radiography
    • At least one year experience in interventional radiography.
    • Registration Certificate with Society of Radiography in Kenya
    • Licence with Radiation Protection Board.

    • Minimum of one year from working in a coronary care or intensive care unit in a busy Hospital.
    • Registration Certificate issued by the Nursing Council of Kenya;
    • Valid practicing license from Nursing Council of Kenya and
    • Certificate in Computer application skills from a recognized institution.

    Radiographer

    Job Description/Requirements

    Terms of Service: Three years contract renewable

    Duties and Responsibilities

    1. Prepare the patient for their procedure which includes; explaining how the procedure works and addressing any questions or concerns.
    2. Compiling a medical history for the patient and providing them with any necessary protective clothing or gear.
    3. They also ensure the patient is positioned to get the clearest and most accurate image possible.
    4. Assist oncologists to deliver radiation therapy for various types of cancer.
    5. Responsible for operating imaging equipment during procedures.
    6. To ensure imaging equipments are always in proper working order.
    7. To prepare equipment when it’s time to perform a procedure and position it correctly to capture a clear image of the patient.

    Required Qualifications

    1. Diploma in Radiography 
    2. At least one year experience in interventional radiography.
    3. Registration Certificate with Society of Radiography in Kenya
    4. Licence with Radiation Protection Board.

    • Receiving and identifying patients for diagnostic and therapeutic procedures;

    • Certificate in computer applications from a recognized institution.
