    Lab Technologist (6 Positions)

    Job Summary:

    Reporting to the Director of Clinical Operations, the Lab tech will primarily be responsible for providing quality Laboratory services to our clients, reviewing and analyzing reports and producing the same for physician review.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Receiving and scrutinizing laboratory requisition forms/specimens.
    • Preparing clients for collection of specimens
    • Receiving/collecting, labelling, and registering patients’ specimens.
    • Preparing laboratory reagents.
    • Examining specimens.
    • Maintaining equipment and reagents.
    • Supervising the disinfection, washing and sterilization of apparatus.
    • Processing the specimen according to the specified Standard Operating Procedures (SOP); and Disinfecting, washing and sterilizing laboratory apparatus.

    Qualifications

    • At least eight 2 years relevant work experience
    • Diploma/ Degree in Medical Laboratory Sciences
    • Registration Certificate issued by the Kenya Medical Laboratory Technicians and Technologists Board (KMLTTB)
    • Valid practicing license from Kenya Medical Laboratory Technicians and Technologists Proficiency in computer application

    Clinical Officer

    Job Overview:

    Working closely with the Consultants, Pharm technologist, Lab Technologist, Nurses, Community Oral Health Officer, Nutritionist and others in ensuring quality health services to the Patients.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Receive and clerk patients; initiate and monitor treatment.
    • Conduct medical procedures after getting the consent from patients or their attendants.
    • Check and authorize all diagnostic requisition slips at the medical center.
    • Assess patients as required and write detailed reports in the case notes.
    • Order and interpret diagnostic tests; and provide information regarding patient conditions whenever required; communicate effectively with patients and clients.
    • Maintain professional standards in relation to confidentiality and ethics; abide by the Kenyan Medical Practitioners and Dentist Board regulations.

    Pharmacy Technologist (8 Positions)

    Job Summary:

    The Pharmacy Technologist will primarily be responsible for providing quality services to clients’ bydispensing medications, giving pharmacological information, orderingand managing the stocks of medicines and supplies.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Prepares medications by reviewing and interpreting physician orders
    • Dispenses medications, packaging, and labelling pharmaceuticals as per the prescription.

    COHO – (Community Oral Health Officer)- (4 Positions)

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Prepares treatment room for patient by following prescribed procedures and protocols.
    • Screening patients, reviewing a patient’s oral health history and teaching appropriate brushing and flossing techniques. In addition, welcoming, comforting, and draping patient.
    • Perform oral examination and charting, cleaning of teeth and polishing.
    • Perform simple extractions, place fissure sealants, and apply topical fluorides and temporary fillings.
    • Use dental X-ray machines to take dental radiographs and develop the film for the dentist’s analysis.
    • Review pre-operative settings and make sure that the dentist has what is required to carry out dental procedures; i.e. provide necessary help to the dentist, including mixing materials, trimming, and polishing dental casts.
    • Implements and adheres to infection prevention protocols including autoclaving instruments after use, cleaning the dental procedures’ space and storage of the clean.
    • Maintain a record of day-to-day activities of the dental unit and prepare regular reports as needed.
    • Inventory management of equipment and supplies at the dental unit. This includes preparing orders as needed to avoid stock outs.

    Requirements

    • Diploma in Community oral health/Dentistry or equivalent from a reputable institution. 2.
    • Current practicing certificate.                     
    • At least 2 years of relevant clinical experience.                                                                                                                                       
    • Good verbal communication skills – a good listener.

    Sonographer (2 Positions)

    Job Summary:

    Reporting to the Director of Clinical Operations, the Sonographer will primarily be responsible for providing quality ultrasound services to our clients, reviewing and analyzing reports and producing the same for physician review.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Explaining the ultrasound procedure to patients and answering any questions they may have.
    • Maintaining the ultrasound equipment and maintaining the room in which the procedure takes place.
    • Performing the ultrasound ensuring the transducer (probe) is capturing images of every angle/section that must be assessed and ensuring the images are of best quality.
    • Maintaining patient’s records and adding medical notes related to the ultrasound procedure if necessary.

    Requirements for Ultrasound Sonographer Job

    • Diploma in Medical Imaging Sciences.
    • Higher Diploma in Ultrasound.
    • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Radiology /ultrasound
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal and analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail
    • Proven good customer care etiquettes
    • Computer literacy, with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
    • Ability to work effectively with a team in a culturally diverse environment
