    Site Engineer

    As a Site Engineer, you will manage projects, supervise staff and provide technical advice as a subject matter expert. You will be responsible for the preparation of all architectural designs and engineering working drawings within the project, and ensure that the quality of all civil works is within the current and acceptable codes of practice and relevant legal requirements.

    Site Engineer Responsibilities:

    • Organizing materials and ensuring sites are safe and clean.
    • Preparing cost estimates and ensuring appropriate materials and tools are available.
    • Providing technical advice and suggestions for improvement on particular projects.
    • Diagnosing and troubleshooting equipment as required.
    • Negotiating with suppliers and vendors to ensure the best contracts.
    • Authorizing technical drawings and engineering plans.
    • Drawing up work schedules and communicating any adjustments to crew members and clients.
    • Gathering data, compiling reports and delivering presentations to relevant stakeholders.
    • Delegating tasks and scheduling meetings and training sessions where required.

    Supply Chain Planning Manager

    This position is responsible for managing the processes and personnel engaged in daily and weekly Supply Chain planning activities. This individual will support and develop Supply chain planning and scheduling tactics within the group and ensure all team goals are met while developing talent. The leadership will support initiatives across the site and the corporation.

    Major Responsibilities

    • Translates short term demand forecasts into by month by week material supply and schedule requirements. Ensures that MPS schedules match with plant capabilities. Tracks relevant KPIs and develops countermeasures to close gaps.
    • Aggregates monthly schedule and requirements into annual production plan with periodic monitoring and analysis. Identifies issues as they arise with regards to their impact to the overall business.
    • Proactively engages Procurement in attaining materials in a timely manner on emerging demand changes and special requests or projects. Leads the identification of issues related to supply to meet the scheduled requirements.
    • Re-designs / improve the planning organization and develop the necessary talent to deliver long-term results. Recruits and trains new hires as appropriate on SC Planning practices and SOPs.
    • Identifies and documents all assumptions for the monthly S&OP Supply Review and leads the identification of issues related to changes in the manufacturing operating plan. Continually evaluates methods to reduce or eliminate supply constraints to the S&OP Unconstrained Demand Forecast.
    • Involved in new product launch meetings to ensure delivery and customer service excellence to meet monthly and quarterly volume plans.
    • Is partially accountable for obsolete performance ($ and inventory), run-out plans, and product allocation management

    Qualifications

    • Very strong leadership skills including team facilitation, training, and motivation.
    • Very strong analytical, planning, and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication, proven leadership record, sound decision making skills, and have the aptitude to work independently to set and meet key deliverables and objectives.
    • Knowledge of operational excellence and continuous improvement principles as applied to supply chain and manufacturing operations principles.
    • Strong influencing skills
    • Strong knowledge of operational and financial analysis
    • Strong interpersonal skills
    • Experience with ERP required.
    • Pharmaceutical experience is highly recommended but not required
    • Perform all duties in a manner which exceeds all ethical standards for the profession

    Education and Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree  Quantity Survey, Engineering or related field.
    • CIPS certification and/or active participation in a related professional organization is a plus.
    • 10 years of previous experience in Supply Chain Planning preferred with minimum of 3-5 years’ construction industry experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
    • Strong computer skills including MS Office products and ERP Systems (i.e. SAP, ZOHO, SAGE PASTEL, etc.)
    • Solid interpersonal skills and the ability to lead, positively influence and train direct reports, peers and others across the organization.
    • Experience with Electronic Data Interchange.
    • Strong professional communication skills.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills.
    • Capability to multi-task in a fast-paced production environment.

    Working Conditions

    • Travel required at 15-20%
    • Develop accurate demand forecasts of all line items for their accountable segment of the business by using a combination of statistical forecasting integrated with insights gained via partnering with Tendering, Marketing, Site Operations and Finance departments. Ensure consistent integration into the forecast of customer insights, base business trends, merchandising promotional plans, new item volumes, plan-o-gram changes and seasonal volume with the goal of reducing working capital and minimizing forecast error.
    • Manage the existing supply chain/production planning team.
    • Review orders shipping to the project sites (turn, seasonal, and/or promotional) to maximize performance against internal and customer-driven goals.
    • Analyze, maintain, and modify key item-level system replenishment settings such as minimum ship quantities, shipment increments, minimum production quantities, and maintain SKU PAR levels.
    • Develop/maintain statistical safety stock strategy.
    • Manage new items. Manage customer specific systems and tools integration with the forecasting system.
    • Work to reduce chargebacks, Age of Stock, and improve customer scorecard results.
    • Serve as the internal Supply Chain Interface. Individual will provide Tendering and Operations teams with timely analysis, guidance, and decision-making to ensure that the supply chain is in the best position to execute the demand plan generated from the total operational forecast. This includes generating and publishing to key stakeholders, monthly and weekly demand forecasts, including clear identification of assumptions highlighting significant changes since release of previous report.
    • Proactively develop others within the planning organization through the sharing of best demonstrated processes and knowledge transference.
    • Provide cross functional leadership across departments to solve for demand related issues caused by forecast error, demand constraints, unplanned promotional opportunities, etc.
    • Responsible for implementing methods, approaches, and solutions to maximize warehouse efficiency and use.
    • Perform other tasks that may be assigned by Leadership.

    Procurement Assistant

    As a procurement assistant, you will help procurement manager to ensure that the business has a constant supply of materials or equipment. You will work primarily in an administrative capacity, doing tasks such as scheduling material purchases and deliveries and verifying current inventory.

     Responsibilities:

    • Overseeing and supervising employees and all activities of the purchasing department.
    • Preparing plans for the purchase of equipment, services, and supplies.
    • Following and enforcing the company’s procurement policies and procedures.
    • Reviewing, comparing, analyzing, and approving products and services to be purchased.
    • Managing inventories and maintaining accurate purchase and pricing records.

    Electrical / Telecommunications Engineer

    As an Electrical / Telecommunications Engineer you will be responsible for designing and overseeing the installation of electrical and telecommunications equipment and facilities.

    Typical tasks

    • installs internal cabling and wiring for telephone systems and fits and wires junction and distribution boxes;
    • fixes connecting wires from underground and aerial lines to premises and connects cable terminals to inside wiring;
    • installs telephones, switchboards and coin operated phone boxes;
    • uses testing equipment to locate defective components of circuitry and makes any necessary repairs;

    • assists with the erection of wooden poles or steel towers to carry overhead lines;

    Environmental Specialist

    As an Environmental Specialist you will be responsible for checking the impact of the project’s activities on the environment. You will be responsible for identifying environmental issues, recommending solutions, and ensuring compliance with government regulations and with respect to environmental hazards.

    Requirements

    • Oversee field examinations and report hazardous locations and materials.
    • Maintain management information systems that identify the location of hazardous sites, chemical inventories, and complaint investigations.
    • Develop and recommend solutions to eliminate pollution and environmental hazards.
    • Design and implement effective employee training programs.
    • Collect and analyze test samples of food, soil, water, and air.
    • Perform research and report your findings on the current environmental conditions.

    Concrete Foreman

    As a Concrete Foreman you will coordinate concrete operations on the construction site and oversee workers in order to ensure that Company goals and objectives are met and reported to superiors in a regular manner.

    Concrete Foreman Responsibilities:

    • Overseeing all activities pertaining to concrete preparation, placement, installation, finishing, and curing.
    • Dividing concrete construction projects into different stages and evaluating how much labor and materials are required for each stage.
    • Resolving all problems that may affect project quality and completion.
    • Consulting blueprints, drawings, and plans to ensure that concrete structures are accurately placed and installed.
    • Delegating tasks to concrete laborers and providing overall guidance.

    Surveyor Responsibilities:

    • Travelling to sites, when necessary.
    • Taking measurements of distances and angles on a property or section of land in order to establish legal boundaries.
    • Employing specialized equipment, including distance measuring wheels, GPS, and geographic information system (GIS) devices to measure boundaries and contours.
    • Performing mathematical calculations to determine and confirm surveying measurements.
    • Marking and delineating boundaries and reference points on a property or section of land.
    • Researching and consulting historical maps and surveys, as well as legal documents, relating to the property or section of land they are measuring.
    • Analyzing data using plans, maps, charts, and software such as AutoCAD and GIS programs.
    • Presenting data to clients and preparing reports detailing legal boundaries and other relevant information.
    • Collaborating and working with project managers, construction crews, and government agencies, when necessary.

    Qualifications

    • Education/Training: Preferably professional technical training in surveying; Minimum Diploma in surveying;
    • Experience: At least 5 years of working experience in surveying;
    • Duty Station: Kenya with a possibility of relocation within East Africa;
