Assistant Energy Regulation Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Responsible for the regulation and licensing of retail petroleum service stations
• Assist with the design and maintenance of regulatory and compliance governance structure and documentation
• Provide technical support to stakeholders on basic queries
• Assist with the regulation and licensing of County gas reticulation systems
• Responsible for the regulation and licensing of designated parking for petroleum tankers
• Assist with the design and maintenance of compliance monitoring activities
• Assist with the design and maintenance of the regulatory and compliance framework in governance structure and documentation
• Review regulatory change updates, ensuring key messages are communicated to stakeholders

Requirements for the Assistant Energy Regulation Job

• Be a Kenyan citizen
• Be a holder of a Diploma in Petroleum Management or Energy Studies
• At least two (2) years’ experience in energy management
• Must have effective communication skills
• Proficiency in computer applications
• Demonstrate understanding of and commitment to the values and principles outlined in Articles 10 and 232 of the Constitution; and
• Satisfy the requirements of Chapter 6 of the Constitution
