County Youth Coordinator at County Government of Lamu

Job Description

The Lamu County Public Service Board wishes to recruit competent and qualified persons to fill the following vacant positions as per Sections 59 of the County Governments Act.

EDUCATION DEPARTMENT: COUNTY YOUTH COORDINATOR

JOB GROUP “N” (1 POST) REF: LCPSB/ADV/2017/34

Terms of Service: Permanent & Pensionable

REQUIREMENT

• Be a Kenyan citizen of age 25-34:
• Be a holder of first degree in social science from recognized university in Kenya;
• Be computer literate; 
• Be local person with good geographical knowledge of the area;
• Have good communication/interpersonal skills;
• Have relevant knowledge and experience of not less than 5 years in field applied;
• Demonstrate a high degree of professional and technical competency as reflected in work performance and results;
• Be a strategic thinker and results oriented;
• Demonstrate a thorough understanding of devolution, county development objectives and vision 2030;
• Satisfy the requirement of chapter six of the constitution of Kenya 2010.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Shall be responsible to the chief officer of sports, youth, gender and culture at county level;
• Mobilizing resources for implementation of county youth projects and programme;
• Developing a data bank for youth development projects and programme;
• Undertaking any other duties as may be assigned.
