    Director of Administration

    Our Client, a Children’s Home, with approximately 100 children, is looking for an aggressive, performance driven Director of Administration. This person will liaise with the Executive Directors and Senior Management Team to make decisions for operational activities and set strategic goals.

    Responsibilities

    • He/she will plan and monitor the day-to-day running of the children’s home to ensure smooth progress
    • Supervise staff from different departments and provide constructive feedback and accountability
    • Evaluate regularly the efficiency and performance of departments and employees according to organizational objectives and apply improvements
    • Ensure fidelity of procurement processes
    • Oversee financial reconciliations and proper resource allocation
    • Assist with banking transactions, wire transfers, currency sales, and oversight of bank account
    • Review financial information with the accountant and SMT quarterly and help adjust operational budgets for departments and ensure income is available to fund designated projects
    • Revise and/or formulate policies and promote/ensure their implementation
    • Manage relationships/agreements with external partners/vendors and ensures that the children’s home runs with legality and conformity to established regulations

    Qualifications

    • The preferred candidate must have a degree in Business Administration or relevant field
    • A MSc/MA will be a plus
    • 3 years as Director of Operations or Director of Administration or equivalent position
    • Mature Christian with a track record of service, especially to the poor and most especially with an interest or experience in serving needy children
    • Outstanding communication with peoples skill
    • Excellent organizational and leadership abilities
    • Knowledge of applicable legal rules and guideline
    • In depth knowledge of diverse business functions and principles
    • Working knowledge of data analysis and performance/operation metrics and familiarity with MS Office and various business software (e.g. ERP, CRM, QuickBooks)
