    Trade Development Manager - Still Portfolio

    Job Description

    The purposed of this role will be to drive part of stills portfolio performance within the business and support Trade Marketing strategies in the region to build value across the supply chain in the CCBA Kenya Territory. The successful candidate will report to the Stills & Business Development Manager and will be based in Nairobi.

    Key Duties & Responsibilities

    The successful candidate’s main responsibilities will include:-

    • Business Planning and Strategy
      • Identify consumer and category trends.
      • Lead in the new product development in the region.
      • Work with stills manager on Business Plans & Strategy Formulation & Implementation.
    • Channel Development (Vertical & Horizontal)
      • Generate compelling shopper stories to develop winning strategies/ activities for STILLS growth against competition.
      • Monitor and ensure stills portfolio optimal product mix and daily standard stocks adherence at OCCD
      • Ensures implementation of Performance standards for stills portfolio in stores- Key Accounts
      • Drive stills portfolio availability and new product listing as well as be the point of reference in trade on key initiatives to all stakeholders.
    • Financial Management and Cost
      • Manage and oversee the profitability of their business by developing long and short term sales goals, as well as channel strategies to achieve business objectives.
    • Building Capability
      • Manage stills portfolio objectives and performance through coaching and mentoring.
      • Collaborate with sales team to drive the stills agenda at OCCD, retail channels and key accounts respectively.
    • Communication
      • Attend and present at external customer meetings and internal meetings with other functions necessary to perform duties and aid business development
      • Responsible for timely and accurate reports on key business performance metrics (volume, new outlets) & competitor activities within a stipulated period

    Skills, Experience & Education

    We are interested in candidates with following qualifications;

    Minimum qualification

    • Bachelor’s Degree in a Marketing related field.
    • A minimum of 5 years experience in an FMCG environment.
    • Strong commercial understanding of business issues and opportunities.
    • A clean driver’s licences with at least 3 years of continuous driving.
