    Legal Officer II

    JOB GROUP CPSB 08

    Reports to the Head of Litigation and Prosecution department.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from a recognized university;
    • Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Studies from the Council of Legal Education;
    • One (1) year relevant experience from the date of admission as an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya;
    • A certificate in Computer Applications from a recognized institution;
    • Demonstrated merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results;
    • Be a member of Law Society of Kenya with good standing.

    Responsibilities

    • Taking hearing dates in litigation matters;
    • Facilitating service of legal documents;
    • Collecting, circulating and filing of published bills and subsidiary and subsidiary legislation;
    • Filing of court documents and any other legal documents;
    • Organizing the legal department registry;
    • Drafting legal documents under the supervision of the litigation counsel;
    • Providing any other clerical services that may be required by the Legal department;
