    Head of Human Capital


    Business Partnering

    • Develop the human capital strategy for the business through analysis and consultation
    • Provide leadership to the Business in Change Management, Organizational Design and other organizational transformation initiatives
    • Design and execute change management solutions that are inclusive and related to the strategic intent of the business
    • Coach, confidante and challenger to leaders in the business


    • Provide Human Capital thought leadership in the Kenyan landscape
    • Confidant to executive team
    • Participate as an executive member on the executive committee
    • Drive the People agenda

    Employee Relations

    • Maintain and promote sound employer-employee relations through managing and overseeing effective and efficient implementation and compliance with labour laws
    • Provide a uniform and equitable application of both organizational policies and procedures
    • Identify risk areas and advise on mechanism to minimize risk
    • Recommend and secure buy-in to a strategy

    Global alignment and collaboration

    • Drive the alignment of the companies Global policies and procedures within the country
    • Collaborate with the Global Centres of Expertise within Human Capital and ensure aligned delivery to the country

    Skills Development

    • Develop talent through guiding the delivery of learning programmes within the company
    • Position the company as a leading provider of high potential, vocationally qualified young people


    • Promote diversity and inclusion
    • Ensure adherence to policies and procedures
    • Ensure compliance to legal, business and client requirements
    • Identify and address HC risks and incidents

    Employee Engagement 

    • Co-create strategies for a positive work climate and culture along with operations to energise employees, give meaning to work, minimize work disruption and maximize employee productivity.
    • Drive employee Wellness programmes
    • Drive and embed culture and values
    • Analyze engagement survey results and drive action plan in order to improve results and increase engagement. Drive implementation and measure ROI

    Performance Development

    • Ensure the implementation of performance management systems in collaboration with the relevant Centres of Excellence
    • Lead the performance management processes to generate and facilitate a high-performance work climate in order to improve overall operational, team and individual performance
    • Embed the Performance Development philosophy and framework including the companies values and behaviours. Facilitate Performance Development moderation sessions 

    Talent Management and Succession planning

    • Coach and guide management in the identification, differentiation and development of Talent
    • Establish succession plans for managerial level and above
    • Facilitate talent reviews and forums and support the implementation of talent development actions
    • Assist in identifying solutions and building initiatives to improve development of talent 

    Recruitment Delivery

    • Ensure all selection and recruitment processes are adhered to during the appointment of individuals at all levels within the organization, i.e. establish and drive service level agreements with Careerbox
    • Provide professional support and advice to management and clients, advising them on best practice recruitment and selection methods

    People Management

    • Lead and coach direct reports
    • Conduct one on one meeting with direct reports
    • Conduct career discussion, performance development and individual development plans
    • Ensure engagement of direct reports


    • Governance iro increases and bonuses. Implementation of what is agreed by Reward COE, Group CPO and Kenya CEO
    • Budgetary planning
    • Monitoring monthly expenditure
