Chinese-English Translator at TransPerfect

Job description:

• Translate and proofread Fiance from Chinese into English aiming to create error-free, quality deliverables to clients
• Assist with Project Managers and Quality Managers on language-specific and formatting-related queries
• Adhere to and update client-specific redaction and style guidelines
• Juggle multiple tasks and shifting priorities in a fast-paced client-deadline driven environment
• Maintain focus and professionalism under time pressure
• Provide feedback and recommendations on translation-related trends, workflows and possible improvements
• Able to process constructively any feedback given on translations
• Implement client revisions as necessary

Mandatory Requirements & Qualifications:

• Minimum of bachelor’s degree, preferably in translation or law
• Native level of English comprehension, with verbal as well as written fluency
• At least 3 years of prior translation/proofreading experience specifically in Financial Marketing
• Versatility in MS Word usage, with advanced formatting experience
• Proficient research skills using high level of logical and analytical thinking
• Knowledge of common contractual terms
• Cultural competency and excellent written and verbal communication skills in Chinese  and English. 

Preferred Skills & Experiences:

• Other education degrees in Translation,Fianance  or Accounting 
• Ideal candidate is self-motivated, eager to learn and capable of working alone
• Familiarity with style and privacy guidelines for contract translations
• Excellent organizational and critical thinking skills
• Experience in using CAT tools and/or other translation software (Trados, SDLX, WordFast)
