    Kenya Ports Authority (KPA) is a statutory body under the Ministry of Transport, Infrastructure, Housing, Urban Development & Public Works. Its mandate is to maintain, operate, improve and regulate all sea and inland waterway ports in Kenya.It is responsible for the operation and management of the Port of Mombasa and other small seaports like Lamu, Malindi, Kilifi, Mtwapa, Kiunga, Shimoni, Funzi and Vanga; the Inland Container Depots in Nairobi, Naivasha and Kisumu, as well as liaison offices in Kampala, Kigali and Bujumbura that cater for transit countries.

    The Authority’s Mission is “to provide efficient and competitive port services to facilitate global trade”.

    Eligibility Criteria

    To qualify, an applicant must;

    • Be a kenyan citizen not over the age of 34years
    • Be an unemployed graduate from a recognized training institution who has completed a relevant diploma/degree course from a recognized institution and has not been exposed to work experience related to their area of study
    • Not have benefited from a similar internship program 4. Not have exited from formal employment
