    Territory Sales Manager

    Job Description/Requirements

    An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Territory Sales Manager to join a well-established and growing team in Kenya Co-operative Coffee Exporters Limited.

    We are looking for experienced professionals and innovative individuals with imagination and determination to deliver a clear vision and first class services. If you have an excellent sales track record with solid experience in territory sales, this is an opportunity for you.

    Reporting to the Sales Manager, the Territory Sales Manager will help the company optimize sales and profits through modern trade, general trade, corporate sales and van sales. The incumbent will responsible for achieving envisaged company growth agenda and hitting sales targets by successfully managing the Sales Executives, designing and implementing a strategic sales plan that expands company’s customer base and ensure its strong presence, objectives setting, coaching and performance monitoring of the Sales Executives.

    The Role

    Specifically, the successful jobholder will be required to:

    • Implement marketing strategies and analyze trends to achieve set targets in the given territory.
    • Develop monthly specific territorial action plans for achieving the agreed sales objectives and consistently meet the territory sales targets through effective planning, implementing, monitoring and evaluating rolled out sales initiatives.
    • Continually assess current business distribution channels, develop and evaluate their performance and manage conflict ensuring alignment with territory plans.
    • Set realistic and achievable targets for the sales executives and rally them to contribute in best possible way towards the sales goals and objectives of the company.
    • Manage, develop, coach, control and motivate the sales force to develop them and drive the right skill set for the Sales Executives to ensure that high professional standards are achieved and monthly sales target and key performance indicators (KPI) target are met.
    • Champion the Sales Executive team in collecting payment, ensuring all transactions are properly recorded and sending items such as cheques to the accounts department for further processing.
    • Gather market information to drive new products, selling possibilities and desired customer proposition.
    • Be the master of relationships with clients, vendors and employees.

    Skills, Competencies and Experience

    The successful candidate will be required to have the following skills and competencies:

    • Bachelor’s degree/Diploma in Sales and Marketing, Business, or any other related filed.
    • 3 years of working experience working in a sales or marketing position.
    • Proven and successful track record in aiding the achievement of a sales department’s goals in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
    • Strong understanding of sales, marketing, and promotion standards.
    • Ability to identify business’s sales and revenue opportunities as well as experience in community relations that enable a business to attain or exceed sales performance targets.
    • Proficient in MS Office packages.
    • Must be willing and able to travel extensively (60% to &70% of the time).

    Sales Executive

    Kenya Co-operative Coffee Exporters (KCCE) is looking for highly driven, self-motivated, experienced professionals with a strong passion for success and flair for sales to drive company’s products penetration to existing and potential customers.

    Reporting to the Territory Sales Manager, the Sales Executive will drive the assigned targets to ensure the company optimizes sales and profits through modern trade, general trade, corporate sales and van sales.

    The Role

    Specifically, the successful jobholder will be required to:

    • Be the primary contact between the company and its existing and potential markets.
    • Consistently understand and promote all company sales programs in the assigned territory.
    • Be responsible for consistently meeting the territory sales targets through effective planning, implementing, monitoring and evaluating rolled out sales initiatives.
    • Be charged with determining, discussing and communicating in writing to the Territory Sales Manager opportunities for purposes of drawing annual sales department objectives and tactics to achieve annual sales objectives.
    • Develop, discuss and implement new territory sales initiatives, strategies and programs to capture the entire territory quarterly.
    • Be charged with proactive and timely gathering of market information to drive new products, selling possibilities and desired customer proposition, as well as generate territory sales leads round the year.
    • Resolve customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports, and making recommendations to the Territory Sales Manager.
    • Meet with customers to discuss their evolving needs and to assess the quality of company's relationship with them
    • Ensure to play a lead role in resolving any outstanding collections issues by examining customer payment plans, payment history, credit line and coordinating contact with company collections department and the Territory Sales Manager.

    • 3 years of working experience working in a sales or marketing position.

    Van Sales & Distribution Executive

    Kenya Co-operative Coffee Exporters (KCCE) is looking for a highly driven candidate who can establish and maintain interpersonal relationships, product knowledge and attention to details, operate vehicles with safe driving skills.

    Reporting to the Company Logistics Officer, the Van Sales & Distribution Executive will be responsible for ensuring that products are delivered on time and in the proper condition and on predetermined routes, conducts round the year market activations for the various products, collects cheque payment for delivered products, shares new placed product orders and market growth insights and potential client hitlist with the sales team.

    The Role

    • Specifically, the successful jobholder will be required to:
    • Ensure alignment with the set company’s sales objectives.
    • Be responsible for round the year market activation.
    • Ensure to safely transport the company products to respective market destinations and handle the company delivery vehicle efficiently.
    • Maintain Customer Relationship Management Support.
    • Support in Company Budget Management.
    • Custodian of Assigned Company Motor Vehicle:
    • Ensure the assigned vehicle tracking system is up and well updated so that all assigned orders and delivery can be tracked at any one moment.
    • Be a critical touch point with the customer, ensure to demonstrate flexibility while cross-training within various roles to meet company and customer demands

    Skills, Competencies and Experience

    • A minimum of C and above in KCSE
    • Minimum 1 years’ proven work experience as Van Sales & Distribution Executives
    • Valid professional driver’s license/commercial driver's license
    • Good driving record with no traffic violations
    • A commitment to excellent customer service.

    Corporate Sales Executive

    Kenya Co-operative Coffee Exporters (KCCE) is looking for an exceptional candidate who demonstrates flexibility, strong understanding of sales, product knowledge, marketing and promotion standards. They should be strong in maintaining interpersonal relationships, pay attention to detail and have clear communication skills.

    Reporting to the  Sales Manager, the Corporate Sales Executive will drive the assigned targets to ensure the company maximizes its wallet share by optimizing sales and profits through corporate sales.

    The Role

    Specifically, the successful jobholder will be required to:

    • To be the face of the company by being the primary contact between the company and its existing and potential markets. Have good customer relations, be aggressive in pursuing new sales opportunities, continuously recommend new opportunities and improvements in the marketplace for maximizing profits.
    • Meeting Corporate sales targets through effective planning, implementing, monitoring and evaluating rolled out sales initiatives. Also, charged with developing monthly specific territorial action plans, discussing and documenting with the Sales Manager tactics to achieve annual territory sales objectives.
    • Continuous territory market research by proactive and timely gathering of market information to drive new products, selling possibilities, maintaining customer satisfaction and improving relationships with the customer. To closely study the current market trends for the company products and identify enhancements. In addition, perform cost-benefit analyses of existing and potential customers and sharing data and insights through the company structure.
    • Use various techniques to maintain and develop relationships with existing customers in person, via telephone calls and emails to meet and exceed sales objectives.
    • All Submitted orders should refer to price lists and product literature.
    • Debt collection from all corporate accounts with the critical responsibility of aggressively following for closure debts
    • Proper appraisal of clients at prospecting, pitching and limit assignment.
    • Reduce churn/dormant accounts in the assigned territory
