    Key Stage 3 Teachers

    Job Description

    Being a place where children love to learn is our goal. Being a young school, open since January 2011, we have constantly grown and developed with the children. Together with the parents and pupils we have build and created a unique learning environment, in a unique location surrounded by greens and blues. Currently we are offering education from Playgroup (age 2+) to Year 6, in classes no bigger than 20 pupils. ​Following the British Curriculum with a Kenyan twist and a strong focus on the natural environment around us, we offer high quality education to a wide range of pupils. Many of our students integrate into 8-4-4 after Kivukoni, where others move on to other international schools inside or outside the country.

    We are recruiting Science, English, Computing and/or Humanities teachers for Key Stage 3 in British curriculum.

    General Duties and Responsibilities:

    • The post holder is required to carry out under the reasonable direction of the Head of School the professional duties of a teacher which are set out in the School Teachers’ Pay and Conditions Document;
    • The post holder must at all times carry out his/her responsibilities
    • Take an active part in extra-curricular provision. Teaching and Learning:
    • Plan and deliver the teaching programmes for English and other subjects;
    • Provide clear planning for lessons and for sequences of lessons, which maintain pace, motivation and challenge
    • Make effective use of assessment information on pupils’ attainment and progress and in planning future lessons;
    • Ensure effective teaching of whole classes, groups and individuals, establishing high expectations of behaviour and attainment, so that teaching objectives are met;

    • Dynamic, committed and great team players required – and the more skills the better!

    Beginning dates and salary

    Modest salary, great working environment. September 2021 start.
