    Qualifications

    • Be a holder of Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Social Sciences, or any other related field from a recognized University.
    • Possess a Master’s Degree from a recognized University in any field in (a) above or any other related field.
    • Have knowledge and work experience of not less than Ten (10) years in the Public Service, Private Sector or Non-Governmental Organizations (NGO), regional or International Organizations, Five (5) of which must have been at Senior Management level.
    • Have attended and successfully completed a Senior Management Course or Strategic Leadership Programme from Kenya School of Government or its equivalent from a recognized institution.
    • Be a member of a relevant professional body in good standing/current certification.
    • Demonstrate a clear understanding of Leadership and Strategic Management.
    • Have excellent communication, interpersonal, networking and collaborative skills.
    • Have knowledge and clear understanding of Educational Sector, Publishing and Scholarship Industry; as an added advantage.

    Responsibilities

    • Providing leadership in the implementation and evaluation of corporate strategic plans and policy.
    • Managing the day to day operations of the Company and overseeing legal, regulatory and statutory requirements.
    • Guiding management and advising the Board on opportunities for investment and business growth.
    • Developing of and recommending to the Board the short, medium and long term strategies, business plans and annual operating budgets to achieve corporate objectives.
    • Maintaining a work environment suitable for attracting, developing and retaining a dynamic workforce.
    • Establishing proper internal monitoring and control systems.
    • Building relevant organizational capacity to deliver on strategy by guiding, directing and evaluating the work of other senior executives within the organization.
    • Creating partnerships and linkages at the highest level with key stakeholders to enhance JKFs corporate image.
