    Project Officer-Administration and Logistics

    The Opportunity

    Save the Children International Kenya- Kakamega/Kitui/Kisumu, has an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as Project Officer - Administration and Logistics. The role holder will be responsible for providing logistical and programmatic support to the USAID Advancing Nutrition project. They will ensure efficient and timely project administrative, coordination, monitoring and learning support. They will support documentation of project deliverables and maintain a filling system for all project deliverables. This position is based in Kakamega and will require engagement with National stakeholders and extensive travel to project locations in Kisumu, Kakamega and Kitui counties.

    QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

    Essential

    • Bachelor's degree in project management, business administration, development studies, social sciences, international relations, Biostatics or related field.
    • Minimum 3 years relevant working experience implementing development projects. Experience with USAID projects preferred.
    • Experience coordinating activities with a multi-sectoral team.
    • Certificate in project management preferred. 
    • Fluency in English - both written and oral.
    • Excellent skills in Knowledge Management systems and proficient in the use of Microsoft SharePoint, Teams, Google Drive
    • Ability coordinate and working with multiple stakeholders including government officials
    • Computer literacy, particularly in Word, Excel, Power BI and PowerPoint and ability to use of virtual platforms
    • Enthusiasm, motivation, self-confidence, and a proactive approach to problem solving
    • Excellent interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills in English, with experience working in multicultural, multi -location, values driven teams
