    Technical Sales Manager

    Our client has more than 80 years of experience in developing fruit based raw materials. The company has a worldwide network and their ingredients can be found in numerous global and local leading brands of beverage, dairy and bakery products around the world.

    Main Objective

    The Area Sales manager will be responsible for sales for the fruit based raw material (FBR) for customers in East Africa

    Responsibilities

    • Responsible for all sales under the FBR to customers in East Africa and to position the organisation as a preferred supplier of the various products
    • Project management for all the sales projects in close cooperation with the innovation departments and the rest of the sales team
    • Developing and implementing short-term and long-term sales strategies to ensure revenue and market growth.
    • He/She will work closely with the GM Sales Africa and might be required to occasionally make presentations to the Board of Directors
    • Preparation of budgets, forecasts and estimates
    • Account development on the basis of existing customer base and create new business
    • Handling of all customers and maintaining good relationships
    • Preparation of reports to be presented to the management team

    Educational qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Food processing/Food science or similar professional qualification
    • Good end user working knowledge of SAP or other Automation packages
    • Proficiency in analytics

    Relevant experience:

    • 8+ years of experience in sales
    • East Africa Business Exposure
    • Willingness to travel and work out of the office
    • Proven ability to achieve sales quotas
