    Internal Auditor

    Job Purpose

    Reports to the Chief Manager Internal Audit, Risk and Compliance. The auditor will assist in undertaking reviews of the company’s business processes and provide independent and objective assurance to management on the effectiveness of the risk management, governance, and internal control processes.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Participate in the development and implementation of effective internal audit strategies, policies, and procedures.
    • Contribute to the preparation of the risk-based annual audit plan for approval by the audit and risk management committee.
    • Prepare audit reports on completion of each audit engagement to ensure timely issuance to management for implementation of recommended actions.
    • Evaluate the progress and effectiveness of the action taken to implement audit recommendations received from both internal and external audits.
    • Assist in the preparation of quarterly audit reports for the Audit and Risk
    • Management Committee of the Board.
    • Execute special audits and investigations.
    • Evaluate the performance of staff in the department to ascertain efficiency and effectiveness in work performance in meeting the objectives of the function.

    Qualifications and person specifications

    • Have a minimum period of eight (8) years of relevant work experience, of which three (3) must have been at a supervisory level.
    • Have a master’s degree in business (finance and accounting) or a relevant field from a recognised university.
    • Have a bachelor’s degree in business administration (finance and
    • accounting option) or a relevant field from a recognised university.
    • Have passed Certified Public Accountant of Kenya (K) or its equivalent qualification.
    • Be a registered member of ICPAK in good standing.
    • Have demonstrated merit and ability, as reflected in their work performance and results.

    Corporate Affairs Officer


    Job Purpose

    Reports to the Head of Corporate Affairs. The officer plays a key role in digital communication strategy, customer service, developing and executing a publishing plan across internal and external platforms in line with the organisation's communication strategy to enhance the company's brand presence and reputation.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Develop and execute digital communication strategies in line with the organization's communication strategy to enhance brand presence and reputation.
    • Manage digital communication channels and utilize both digital channels and traditional publishing methods to disseminate information, engage stakeholders, and maintain consistent messaging across various platforms.
    • Create and implement a comprehensive publishing plan (press releases, articles, social media posts, etc.) across internal and external platforms ensuring consistency with New KCC’s brand messaging and communication objectives.
    • Manage customer service inquiries and concerns effectively, ensuring timely responses and resolution ensuring a positive customer experience to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.
    • Monitor and analyse customer feedback and trends to identify areas for improvement in products, services, or communication strategies.
    • Work with cross-functional departments to ensure digital communication efforts support the organization's overall goals and initiatives.
    • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in digital communication, customer service, and corporate affairs to continuously improve strategies and tactics.
    • Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to produce high-quality content for digital platforms, including but not limited to social media, website, and email newsletters.
    • Assist in crisis communication efforts by providing support in managing online reputation and addressing issues in a timely and effective manner.
    • Prepare and present regular reports on digital communication activities, customer service performance, and key metrics to the Head of Corporate
    • Affairs and other relevant stakeholders.
    • Act as a brand ambassador, ensuring consistency in messaging and tone across all digital communication channels.
    • Any other duty as may be assigned by the supervisor from time to time.

    Qualifications and person specifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in mass communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
    • Master’s degree in mass communications, Public Relations, Journalism or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution is an added advantage.
    • A minimum of eight (8) years in a relevant communications field, with at least three (3) years of supervisory experience.
    • A relevant professional certification in communications, public relations, journalism, or an equivalent credential from a recognized professional body.
    • Current membership with a recognized professional association in communications, such as Public Relations Society of Kenya.
    • Have a minimum four-week (4) management course from a recognized institution.
    • A track record of work performance and experience in a fast-paced environment.
    • Proven experience and execution in digital communication with hands-on experience in utilising diverse digital tools and platforms.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong understanding of customer service principles and practices.
    • Excellent analytical and interpersonal skills with a creative and innovative approach to communication.
    • Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize tasks, excellent problemsolving skills, time management skills, and attention to detail.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

    Key Account Manager

    Job Purpose

    Reports to the Head of National Sales. The manager is responsible for managing sales and collections, coordinating activities, and overseeing the development and growth of strategic second-line and key supermarkets countrywide.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Develop and implement sales strategies for strategic second-line key and supermarkets.
    • Identify new customers, secure partnerships and grow revenue through upselling and cross-selling within key accounts.
    • Manage all communication and documentation for key accounts, such as price changes, invoices, and other relevant sales documentation.
    • Collaborate across relevant departments to deliver seamless service to key accounts.
    • Manage payments and ensure timely collections and follow up on any outstanding accounts.
    • Participating in the development of the Key Accounts Sales’ strategy
    • Monitoring the performance of each brand and availability as well as competitors’ activities in the key and strategic second-line supermarkets.
    • Representing the company for negotiation and formalisation of any joint business plans with supermarkets.
    • Liaising with production and logistics departments to ensure key account orders are met.
    • Maintain accurate customer pricing information.
    • Respond to and resolve key account inquiries promptly.
    • Any other duty assigned by the supervisor from time to time.

    Qualifications and person specifications

    • A minimum of ten (10) years relevant work experience and at least four (4) years in a management role in similar position.
    • Master of Business Administration or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
    • Bachelors degree in Sales and Marketing or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
    • Management course of at least four (4) weeks from a recognized institution.
    • Proven track record of success in developing and managing strategic accounts.
    • Proficiency in computer applications from a recognized institution; and
    • Member of a relevant professional body in good standing.
    • Proficiency in computer and other relevant business applications.
    • Valid driving license.
    • Fulfilled the requirements of Chapter Six of the 2010 Constitution.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
