The ERP functional consultant should be able to improve the business process instead of customizing the ERP system to the existing business process. An ERP functional consultant is required to know about the business environment and process.

Implementation & Support Consultant Job Responsibilities

• Study the existing business process and design current business flow diagrams.
• Design the business process and set up the rules, regulations and standards.
• System integration testing, unit testing, user acceptance testing, performance testing.
• Prepare System Documentation on settings done by the consultant.
• Prepare User Manuals and Conduct End User Training.
• Provide update of the status of the project to the leader or project manager.
• Provide Support on the delivered system.
• Interacting with the end users, other consultants, implementing team members, project manager, core team members and technical consultant.
• Client Care and Account Management.
• Team Building and Recruitment.
• Good communication skills to be able to communicate and interact with all of them. Good writing skills should be present to be able to generate reports, documents and mails. Convincing capabilities is must as the consultant is required to explain and convince the customer.
• ERP functional consultant should be aware of the business models such as Customer Relationship
• Management, Production, Manufacturing, Human Resources Management, Supply Management, Finance,
• Product Lifecycle Management, Inventory, Purchase, etc.
• Save time and money while implementing a trouble free system.
• The knowledge of the consultant should be used to the optimum and the knowledge should be transferred to the staff properly. The staff needs to get familiar and self-sufficient with the help of the consultant.
• An important role of the ERP functional consultant is to act as an adviser.

Qualifications for the Implementation & Support Consultant Job

• Bachelor of Finance, CPA or ACCA or Finance qualification from a well-recognized institution.
• Three years’ work experience in a similar environment Software implementation and relevant certifications.
• A passion for computing and software and engaging learning experiences, as well as desire to make a difference in a highly productive environment.
• Technical skills and database skills with a good understanding of relational databases and SQL.
• Commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and the creation of quality products is essential.
• Knowledge of enterprise software, business processes and software industry and experience in retail, distribution, hospitality and mobility solutions.
• Good understanding of financial accounting procedures and financial principles.
• Relevant product certification is an added advantage.
