Senior Strategy & Planning Associate Job at Uber

The role reports directly into the GM as part of the East Africa team. In addition to general strategy and planning within the region, the role has two primary focus areas: product and special projects, as summarized below.

Requirements

• Support the strategy and planning process at the subregional level
• Support the GM in ad hoc analyses and day-to-day activities; backfill responsibilities as required
• Attend and engage in core strategy and planning events impacting the region (i.e., GM summits, SF/Amsterdam strategy discussions, subregional summits)

Product (est. 60% of role):

• Identify product opportunities across East Africa by working closely with city ops teams on the ground

• Work with city ops teams to quantify the business impact of product improvements and launches in their markets
• Prioritize product asks across East Africa based on business impact and regularly interface with product and product ops teams to drive the allocation of product resources
• Support and guide product team excursions in East Africa

Special Projects (est. 40% of role):

• Work with the GM and EA Leads to identify the highest impact projects in the region
• Spend extended periods of time focused primarily on producing successful outcomes to specific selected projects and facilitating the creation of playbooks for replicable strategies
