    Communications & Outreach Associate

    Job Summary

    Job Description

    The Communications & Outreach Associate coordinates and monitors various offline marketing and public relations activities.

    Responsibilities

    • Coordinate all on-site and off-site events including but not limited to:
      • Academic events, such as orientation and alumni reunion
      • Off-campus events, like graduation and year-end concert
      • Expos and exhibitions, such as industry expos
      • Partner events, like boot camps, launches and conference
      • Staff events, such as team building retreats
      • Special celebrations, like anniversaries
    • Design, resource and execute career mentorship events for high schools and colleges
    • Develop, monitor and manage the collateral procurement plan, process and budget
    • Gather and review data to inform message development and reputation management
    • Develop and execute marketing campaigns (including messaging and budgeting)
    • Plan and implement public relations outreach with an emphasis on offline media
    • Interface with vendors to procure collateral, deliver events, etc.
    • Continually exploit opportunities to:
    • position the Institute as a thought leader and innovator for the creative economy
    • enhance the profile of the leadership team, students and staff
    • Monitor and enforce brand compliance at all touchpoints with the public
    • Serve as main liaison for media coverage and external PR agencies
    • Represent the Company at industry events, in Kenya and globally
