    Business Development Officer

    Planning and carrying out sales and marketing activities with the aim of developing and maintaining customer relationships, business growth and retention.

    Responsibilities for the Business Development Officer Job

    • Sourcing and procuring of business in line with the set targets/budgets from corporates, SME’s, NGO’s , National and County Government;
    • Recruit credible brokers , agencies, banks to partner with the company;
    • Facilitating business quotation by liaising with underwriting department and ensure to submit the quotation to the requesting brokers and agents in good time.
    • Preparing tender documents requirements and submit the same as per tender instructions;
    • Ensure renewal of existing accounts to improve business retention;
    • Preparing weekly and monthly reports giving details of individual performance;
    • Addressing client enquiries and feedback within the stipulated timelines;
    • Ensuring business is acquired within the agreed terms and credit limits;
    • Carrying out market research, competitor and customer surveys.

    Responsibilities for the Business Development Officer Job

    • An undergraduate degree in business or related field.
    • ACII or IIK qualification or demonstrate significant progress towards attainment of the same.
    • At least 3 years’ relevant experience in the insurance industry
    • Strong bias in SME’s, NGO,’s, Corporate Accounts and tender business.
    • Good communications skills, both written and verbal.
    • Good organizational and time-management skills.
    • Positive attitude, self-motivated, self-driven and able to work with minimal supervision.
