    Koko Networks, Marketing Manager

    The role is for professional who is passionate about disrupting the traditional means of buying and selling using technology. The ideal candidate is keen to grow with along with a fast growing organisation. They will be working with KOKO’s executives to define and influence organisational strategies.

    Detailed Responsibilities

    Develop marketing strategies

    • Develop consumer focussed marketing strategies aligned to KOKO Networks and its target audience in partnership with the executive team
    • Define the success metrics against which the marketing strategies will be measured against
    • Fail fast – Make quick adjustments to the marketing strategies based on the outcome. This is to establish one which results in an increase in the number of agents and Average Revenue Per User (ARPU)
    • Prepare marketing plans and budgets

    Execute marketing strategies

    • Execute marketing strategies in line with the organisation’s capacity to deliver
    • Increase the ARPU through implementing the defined marketing strategies in coordination with the promotions team
    • Track and report on the effectiveness of the implemented strategy against the organisation’s objectiveness
    • Manage the marketing plans and budgets

    Collaborate

    • Understand both sides of KOKO’s market in order to creatively tailor marketing strategies to their needs
    • Work with colleagues across internal teams to track product updates and company announcements and share with key audiences (i.e. agents, customers, media, partners)
    • Have face to face engagements with customers and agents to solicit feedback on existing product effectiveness and potential products/features to be developed
    • Collaborate and manage relationships with internal and external key decision makers

    Does this sound like you?

    • Have at least 5 years business development marketing experience
    • Have experience in the FMCG industry or project-driven organizations
    • Have Sales or Telco experience (nice to have)
    • Creative, innovative, attentive to detail and delivery oriented
    • Have great project management, photography/videography as well as clear verbal and written communication skills
    • Have an appreciation for start-up environment and willing to work weekends
    • Fluent in English and Kiswahili
