    Sales & Marketing Manager

    This position is responsible for planning and implementing sales, marketing and product development programs, both short and long range, targeted toward existing and new markets

    Sales & Marketing Manager Job Responsibilities

    • Develop sales and marketing strategies to deliver on business objectives
    • Develop sales and distribution channels
    • Develop and motivate sales team
    • Management of credit policy and cost control
    • Develop and implement sales systems and controls
    • Product, channel and service innovation
    • Market share growth
    • High level customer service and company image
    • Timely and accurate reports

    The objectives of this job will be met through the following tasks;

    • Formulate the strategic operational objectives for the Sales and marketing function in line with the overall corporate plan.
    • Develops and implements strategic marketing plans and sales plans and forecasts to achieve corporate objectives for products and services.
    • Prepares periodic sales report showing sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed client base expansion.
    • Accomplishes marketing and sales objectives by planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating advertising, merchandising, and trade promotion programs; developing field sales action plans.
    • Develops and manages sales/marketing operating budgets.
    • Develops and recommends product positioning, packaging, and pricing strategy to produce the highest possible long-term market share.
    • Plans and oversees advertising and promotion activities including print, online, electronic media, and direct mail.
    • Achieves satisfactory profit/loss ratio and market share in relation to preset standards and industry and economic trends.
    • Meets marketing and sales financial objectives by forecasting requirements, preparing an annual budget, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances and initiating corrective actions.
    • Monitors competitor products, sales and marketing activities.
    • Identifies marketing opportunities by identifying consumer requirements
    • Directs sales forecasting activities and sets performance goals accordingly.
    • Direct staffing, training, and performance evaluations to develop and control sales and marketing programs.
    • Directs market channel development activity and coordinates sales distribution by establishing sales territories, quotas, and goals.
    • Represents company at trade association meetings to promote products.
    • Meets with key clients, assisting sales representative with maintaining relationships and negotiating and closing deals.
    • Reviews and analyzes sales performances against programs, quotes and plans to determine effectiveness.
    • Coordinate with administration, commercial and factory departments to ensure timely orders, and smooth function of action in the system.
    • Responsible for revenue generation across products and regions and ensure yields across products through sales staff
    • Develop and execute brand management plans for the various products
    • Help promote uniformity and consistency of brand.
    • Coordinate and manage content management and information sharing among departments, divisions and external customers and divisions.
    • Create and enhance agency and partner relationships
    • Determines annual and gross-profit plans by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas for regions
    • Develops annual sales strategies for a company

    Qualifications for the Sales & Marketing Manager Job

    • Bachelors Degree from recognized University
    • 3 – 5 years work experience in sales and marketing at managerial level
