Laundry/Kitchen Technician at Kempinski Hotels

OVERALL OBJECTIVE

Reporting to the Engineering Supervisor - Plant & Mechanical Services. The Laundry/Kitchen Technician’s main function is to ensure effective maintenance and repair on all mechanical equipment in Kitchen / Laundry.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

·        Ensuring that mechanical technicians adhere to set working hours

·        Submission of FF&E requirement to the Plant & Mechanical supervisor/Assistant /Chief Engineer

·        Ensuring that quality workmanship is observed

·        Ensuring quick and permanent solutions are implemented to avert re-occurrences

·        Periodic preventive maintenance for machines and equipments is in place

·        Planning and scheduling of maintenance of equipment without interfering with the normal operations and depending on the urgency

·        Daily check for Laundry and Kitchen Equipment

·        Ensures that the preventive maintenance is done as scheduled

·        Advises store keeper / Engineering Coordinator on what items are required in the store

·        Ensures that quality items are delivered  

·        Ensure minimal wastage of materials

         Has a working knowledge of FTO Department Brand Standards to ensure compliance.

·        To have working Knowledge of HVAC/Electrical and MEP Installations

·        Ensure HACCP and COSHH policies are strictly adhered to.

·        Ensuring all equipments and machines are working and in good condition

·        Ensure periodic testing and service of equipments is done 

         Comply with all Kempinski International company policies.

         Comply with all systems and procedures as laid down by Director of Engineering.

·      Any other duties that may be delegated by the management through the Director of Engineering or      his Designate

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

·        High School or secondary diploma required

·        Diploma in Electoral Mechanical engineering.

·        Two Years experience with repair and maintenance of Kitchen and Laundry Equipments

·        Experience in operation of BMS

·        Ability to work and communicate in a multinational environment

·        Good verbal and written communication skills

·        Computer literacy

·        Good aptitude in trouble shooting

·        Quick at problem resolution

·        Able to work in a fast paced environment and can multitask

·        Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure
