    Chief Executive Officer

    Job Description

    PRISK Board of Directors (BOD) is seeking to recruit a dynamic, exceptional and visionary leader of professional and ethical standing to fill the position of Chief Executive Officer. The successful candidate will execute the mandate of the Board. He/she will be reporting to the Board of Directors and be responsible for overseeing all strategic, operational and financial performance of the organization through effective management.

    Responsibilities

    • Interpreting the policies laid down by the Board, specifying into instructions for execution to achieve the desired results.
    • Planning for achieving and sustaining the objectives set, operational goals, efficiency and profitability.
    • Organizing, budgeting and implementing, reviewing and adjusting the standards for efficient operations
    • To act as Secretary to the Board of Directors, to ensure proper maintenance and implementation of Board issues, procedures and objectives
    • Ensuring that the instructions are carried out by arranging and demanding periodical reports from other executives to facilitate reviewing and adjusting strategies
    • Ensuring effective balance and co-ordination of activities and relations throughout the company to secure the cooperation of all employees.
    • Approval of departmental or sectional plans of carrying into effect the approved plans of action
    • Giving directions and advice on cases where proposed plans or activities depart from the approved policy instructions.
    • Establishing and maintaining competent organizational structure with satisfactory delegated authority, accountability and responsibilities
    • Promoting and maintaining high morale throughout the organization to ensure that all executives and supervisors observe sound personnel policies, transparency and fidelity.
    • Providing suitable facilities/opportunities for functional training of executives, supervisory and subordinate personnel for maintaining and improving performance and competence to provide bases for promotion and succession.
    • Maintaining appropriate contact with Government departments, the media and associates, trade unions, e.t.c. in the dissemination of the policies and plans of the organization.

    Qualifications for the Chief Executive Officer Job

    • Must have a Master’s Degree and Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or any other related field
    • Must have 7-10 years of corporate managerial experience
    • Must have experience in strategic planning and execution.
    • Must have strong stakeholder management.
    • Must have excellent people management and relationship skills.
    • Must have relevant experience with initiating and leading improvement programs.
    • Must have an entrepreneurial mind.
    • Must demonstrate ability to develop and build respect from staff and colleagues
    • Must possess strategic planning, project management and innovation skills;
    • Must demonstrate commitment to the principles and practice of Ethical Conduct
    • Must possess advanced skills in MS Office and professional accounting software
    • Must possess strong ability to organize effectively, delegate responsibility, solve problems quickly and communicate clearly
    • Must possess Leadership skills, including the ability to manage time effectively and handle both internal and external conflicts
    • Knowledge of the Intellectual Property Industry will be an added advantage
