Systems Administrator IT at Frank Management

The successful candidate will be tasked with effective provision, installation, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware, software and related infrastructure.

Job Responsibilities

• Analysis of operating system software, server hardware and enterprise storage Systems based on SAN. This includes implementation of tactical service improvements, upgrades and system patching
• Administering, configuring and troubleshooting servers based on windows & Linux and Virtualization, which includes response, problem resolution and escalation of server issues
• Maintenance of systems documentation and procedures
• Operations of backup tools and testing of disk and data recovery
• Liaise with users, hardware and software vendors and internal systems owners to fine tune systems hardware and software for all systems
• Provide technical support for assigned company initiatives and projects
• Ensure 95% of tickets raised are responded to within the 1st hour of incident reporting; ensure 90% of tickets closure is maintained
• Participation in feasibility studies and testing for new IT infrastructure components
• Provide solutions on all business systems. Prompt restoration of lost data for the business

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• At least 5 years’ experience as a Systems administrator, Storage administrator/analyst in a complex business environment with integrated/mixed Windows, Linux and UNIX servers environment;
• System Administration Techniques -understanding OS Performance, Linux enterprise, server hardware and storage
• Knowledge of SAN and NAS. SAP basis skills will be an added advantage
• Knowledge of TCP/IP networking and strong UNIX Server and Linux Systems skills including certification
• Excellent organizational, planning, and communication skills.
