    Job Description

    Reporting to the Chief Radiologist, the successful candidates will be responsible for the following amongst others:

    • To adhere to all the laid-down safety procedures in carrying out duties in the department.
    • To maintain confidentiality of radiology reports and good public relations in all internal and external interactions.
    • To perform fluoroscopy and other special procedures, ultrasound scans and CT scan procedures for diagnostic purpose according to the clinical requirement of the referring physician and provide radiological report.
    • To administer contrast materials during radiological procedures Verify typed reports and sign for authorization.
    • Making decisions regarding immediate management and further referral of patients Enhancing evidence based practice Maintaining patient confidentiality and professional work ethic
    • Carrying out on the job training on mentorship mentoring senior registrars in the specialist recognition program and medical officers in the clinics and wards
    • Participating in and spearhead hospital based research Participating in research, developing clinical protocols and facilitating CME
    • Championing continuous quality improvement in clinical practice and service delivery
    • Advocating for patients and champion continual improvement
    • Ensuring all standards are met including quality of care, turnaround times, effective communication amongst and quality customer service amongst others
    • Participating in on-call Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time

    Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

    • Masters in Radiology.
    • Specialist recognition in Diagnostic Radiology
    • Valid registration and annual practice license
    • Demonstrable Leadership skills
    • Sound diagnostic skills and judgment
    • Good interpersonal relations
