    Evelyn College of Design was started in Nairobi in 1976 as a pioneer design institution offering training in clothing construction, fashion and textile as well as interior design courses.     Administrative Assistant

     

    Job Duties

    • Will be the face of ECD to visitors,
    • Uphold and exude high levels of integrity, professionalism and ethics,
    • Will be the college receptionist and secretary to the administration offices;
    • Act as the point of contact between the college administration and internal/external clients
    • Screen and direct phone calls and distribute correspondence
    • Handle requests and queries appropriately by providing all relevant information
      • Manage the principal’s diary and the college calendar
      • Take minutes during meetings
      • Requisite for college supplies and oversee their sourcing
      • Will be the custodian of all administration related data and materials;
      • Safeguard the files and cabinets as well as office keys
      • Devise and maintain office filing system
    • Writing emails, transcribing notes, copying and creating spreadsheets or printing documents
      • Administration of the applicants’ interviews and subsequent registration of those admitted
      • Generating and managing the students’ data base and sharing this with other organs of the college,
      • Preparation for and registration of candidates for external examinations,
      • Documenting and availing all policy materials and information to students and other college organs upon request and
      • Documenting all examination related materials and data for future reference
