Vava Coffee limited is a group of passionate individuals that works with small holder farmers in different coffee growing regions within Kenya towards one goal: using coffee to empower communities. The company’s main aim is to contribute to better future prospects for local communities and the coffee industry as a whole. The company ensures sustainable livelihoods for the people and communities in which it works.

Vava Coffee Ltd has received support from United States Africa Development Foundation (USADF) for expansion of the coffee business in effort to reduce poverty, increase employment and promote coffee farming in Kenya. Vava coffee limited procurement committee now invites bids for supply of the following items from suitably qualified companies.

Job Details

Vava Coffee Limited invites eligible firms to submit complete IFBs to provide items mentioned below. Eligible bidders MUST meet the following minimum requirements and must provide information as indication that they are qualified to perform the tasks.

Bids from reputable firms should meet the following minimum requirements:-

• Certificate of Incorporation as a company;
• Valid Business permit;
• A copy of registration certificate as certified supplier or retailer of the items to supply;
• A copy of valid Tax Compliance certificate and PIN;
• Evidence of previous supply and valid full telephone contacts of clients served (clients will be contacted);
• Experience of competent and qualified personnel for specific type of works of a similar nature, magnitude and complexity (attach copies of CVs and certificates of the staff who will be employed if the tender is successful);
• Acceptance to receive payments in tranches

The scope of work required will be in 3 lots:

Lot 1: Infrastructure and Equipment;
Lot 2: Equipment;
Lot 3: Item supply and setting up a certified cupping room.

THE DETAILS OF THE SCOPE OF WORK WILL INVOLVE THE FOLLOWING:

Lot I : Supply, install the items and related electrical works to each item;

Lot II: Supply, install the items and related electrical works to each item;

Lot III: Item supply and setting up a certified cupping room;

REQUIREMENTS

Vava Coffee Limited invites eligible firms to submit complete IFBs to provide the above mentioned services.

Eligible bidders MUST meet the following minimum requirements and must provide information as indication that they are qualified to perform the tasks.

Bids from reputable firms should meet the following minimum requirements:-

• Certificate of Incorporation as a company;

• A copy of valid Tax Compliance certificate and PIN;
• Evidence and previous work of similar nature, valid full telephone contacts of clients served with similar works(clients will be contacted);
• Experience of competent and qualified personnel for specific type of works of a similar nature, magnitude and complexity (attach copies of CVs and certificates of the staff who will be employed if the tender is successful);
• The IFBs for each of the Lot quoted should be clearly separated as A technical and B financial proposal ;
• Acceptance to receive payments in tranches
