Sales & Applications Specialist
KEN Nairobi - Africa Re Center
- Conduct monthly sales promotion visits to customers in the EA region
- Identify new sales leads and potential new customers / Markets in the region of responsibility
- Marketing current and new products and/ or services to the identified customers in the region of responsibility
- Maintain fruitful relationships with existing customers
- Planning and overseeing new marketing initiatives e.g Clinical Medical Educations etc
- Attending conferences, meetings, and industry events and give lectures where necessary
- Providing application support to customers in the region
- Develop key opinion leaders in the key platform focus areas in the region
- Address customer enquiries about the products, applications, software, and instruments and ensure that all product specifications, concepts and limitations are clearly understood
- Follow up internal complaint handling process and report feedback to customers
- Launch new products within the region
- Conduct market research for DS products if and when necessary.
Education And Qualifications
Diploma or Degree in Medical Laboratory technology or Degree in Microbiology from a recognized University

- Strong customer focus needs identification, training development and highly responsive to customer needs
- Well developed coaching and presentation skills
- Highly effective interpersonal skills and Emotional Intelligence resulting in positive relationship building, openness and good team work, all with a high degree of ethical standards
- Demonstrate ability to work independently with minimum supervision
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively across organizational boundaries and with customers
- Accepts personal responsibility and has high ethical values
- A team player who is able to work well as part of a team
- High degree of self-motivation and drive to achieve results
- Market planning and territory management experience
Other Requirements
- Fluency in English and Kiswahili is essential (spoken and written). French would be an advantage
- Able to work independently and prepared for travel within East Africa and to regional BD locations
- Clean driving license
