    Sales Support Specialist

    Job Description:

    Key responsibility is to identify and convert new sales opportunities within Citi target market for both cash management and trade solutions. The Sales Head is responsible for developing and executing a focused sales strategy that will include championing all TTS sales and marketing initiatives and structuring solutions for corporate and public sector clients. In addition, this role should also have an understanding of wider SSA client trends, expectations and requirements as the client base in Kenya is becoming more focused to Pan-Africa trade and inter-country understanding. It is critical that this role also portrays the correct messaging and awareness of the overall client trends across the continent to ensure we accurately position Kenya as a key hub of our treasury business.

    Position Objective:

    Key responsibility is to identify and convert new sales opportunities within Citi target market for both cash management and trade solutions. The Sales Head is responsible for developing and executing a focused sales strategy that will include championing all TTS sales and marketing and structuring solutions for corporate and public sector clients. In addition, this role should also have an understanding of wider SSA client trends, expectations and requirements as the client base in Kenya is becoming more focused to Pan-Africa trade and inter-country understanding. It is critical that this role also portrays the correct messaging and awareness of the overall client trends across the continent to ensure we accurately position Kenya as a key hub of our treasury business.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Provide leadership and management in delivering the agreed TTS sales targets for Kenya
    • Manage TTS Kenya deal pipeline
    • Work with coverage and product partners to identify opportunities in focus segments and commercialise new products
    • Reflect the needs of our customers back to the product organisation
    • Coordinate client events aligned to the strategy
    • Ensure efficient transition from mandate to implementations team
    • Help to commercialise and externalise all trends and product development in Kenya for the wider SSA and EMEA stakeholders. We need to ensure client asks and requirements are accurately contextualised to our key sales coverage stakeholders to help us connect the network.
    • Development Value:
    • Product Knowledge: obtain a deep understanding of TTS products and solutions across both cash management and trade
    • Leadership: managing multiple internal and external stakeholders and leveraging regional partners to deliver strategy
    • Exposure to the wider TTS and GSG EMEA network via RFP responses, deal reviews, engagement with other key stakeholders that help with exposure to other areas of the business and help with networking

    Qualifications

    Key Responsibilities:

    • At least 5 years banking experience
    • Experience in interacting with and influencing key decision makers/buying at various corporate levels
    • Analytical and a conceptual ability with good written/presentation skills.
    • Demonstrable knowledge of the local market dynamics
    • Excellent internal peer management skills
    • Working knowledge of bank products and bank operations

    Skills:

    • Strong presentations skills verbal and written
    • Competency in use of computing including MS Office applications

    Qualifications:

    • Graduate

In these cases the Business and HR will work together to determine a formal developments plan for the candidate to get them up to the appropriate grade.
