    Sustainability Coordinator, Market Area Africa

    What You Can Expect

    • Overseeing the implementation and further development of the Sustainability Roadmap for Market Area Africa, including project co-ordination, and starting ventures projects and providing leadership across and within BUs on the identification, development and implementation of agreed sustainability initiatives in the Market Area. The primary output of these initiatives will be the increase of BASF product penetration, sales and as a result, improved business performance. Core responsibilities will include inter alia-
    • Coordinating of sustainability projects with a view to meeting agreed BU goals (visibility, volumes, margins)
    • Responsible for stakeholder management and advocacy
    • Coordinating external and internal stakeholders with a view to achieving the set business goals and corporate strategic sustainability projects
    • Aligning internal projects with structural development goals (UN bodies) and BASF core sustainability goals
    • Responsible for product assessment and product portfolio steering

    What We Expect

    • University degree in a relevant field
    • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a commercial entity managing stakeholder engagement, media relations and corporate communications and/or public relations.
    • Experience in NGO engagement would be an advantage
    • A highly mobile talent with relevant working experience in/with at least 5 different African countries
    • Ability to communicate in English, French, and at least one other local language
