Sales Representative at The RED Petal Florist

The RED Petal florists is a fastest growing flower shop based in Nairobi, Kenya. We are looking for an experienced flower sales lady/ Operations to Join our Small community. The flower shop focuses on providing the best flower solutions, both flower delivery and flower supply to Nairobi Residents.

Responsible for the total operation of the store's Floral Department including providing a safe work environment, handling client requests, training, customer service skills, ordering, display plans, controlling shrink, product quality, sanitation, inventory control, work scheduling, receiving, pricing, stocking, and signing of merchandise and financial results. Participates with a total team mindset.

• Majority of time spent using independent judgment to make employment-related decisions, or effectively recommend such decisions, to hire, discipline, suspend, discharge, reward, or otherwise engage in resolving partner-related matters
• Drive sales by overseeing sales floor operations
• Motivate and Inspire teams to high performance and exceptional customer service
• Undertake weekly team meetings with the staff to ascertain any problems or development needs.
• Acts as role model when coaching in order to build a high performing team.
• Achieve your Weekly/Monthly sales targets.
• Ensure that costs are monitored and kept as tight as possible.
• Ensure proper maintenance and organization of the shop selling floor stockroom
• Designs floral arrangements
• Maintains and controls inventory
• Designs and executes flower merchandising programs
• Prepares work schedules for department
• Monitors budget and payroll
• Provides work direction, coaching and training to other departmental personnel
• Tracks seasonal record when appropriate
• Offers excellent customer service by providing a variety of fresh, quality product
• Qualifications include proven leadership and sales skills with positive, proactive, and strong organizational and time management abilities

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE preferred:

• At least a College Diploma from a recognized institution in Kenya
• Retail management experience (essential).
• Floral on-the-job training(optional)
• Two years experience in sales/operations department and training or comparable experience
• Good IT skills: Internet, website, Email, Word and Excel.
