    Digital Sales Manager - Banking and Payment.

    As a Digital Sales Manager, you will be required to participate in the promotion and sale of Gemalto's Ezio Technologies within the financial industry in Africa. These Ezio solutions will cover the digital journey for enrolment in digital services, registering and signing digital transactions and risk assessment management.

    A key part of the role will also be to not only identify key solution selling opportunities within existing accounts in Africa but to design and lead the implementation of Ezio solutions. A high level of technical knowledge is crucial including software development and systems architecture skills.

    Moreover, part of role is to coordinate large solution sales via partners in the regions which may be large consulting companies to small scale systems integrators.

    You will work with a wide variety of team members who are specialising in various areas within the group, located in various regions including R&D, product and delivery teams. This position will be based in Kenya.

    Solution Sales Manager Role:

    Main Responsibilities:

    • You will identify, drive and close complex sales opportunities for Gemalto's Authentication Solutions with new/existing customers. This primarily covers the Ezio Portfolio of products; however this may be extended to other key technologies from other segments as necessary which can be in the interest of Gemalto.
    • You will work with the customer to draw up a full integration plan of the Ezio solution and how the system will work with the customer existing back end solution leading to a successful sale.
    • You will set and manage appropriate customer expectations regarding the proposed solution from presale, sale and through to post-delivery.
    • You will meet extensively with clients to develop/strengthen business relationships; drive client retention.
    • You will work with partners in joint solutions and integration with Ezio technologies.
    • You will develop and maintain competitive analysis including white papers, solution briefs, application notes, and presentations.
    • You will identify key trends & drive necessary improvements in sales & product to capitalize on opportunities.
    • You will work with other members of the team to coordinate the deployment of complex solutions at customer sites.
    • You will provide leadership to others in identifying opportunities and helping customers to evaluate authentication/financial solutions within their requirements to leverage the Ezio product range.
    • You will set and manage appropriate customer expectations regarding the proposed solution from presale, sale and through to post-delivery
    • You will perform skills transfer for other Gemalto sales forces and provide input and feedback from field and partners to the marketing and product development process.
    • You will provide leadership to others in identifying opportunities and helping customers to evaluate authentication/financial solutions within their requirements to leverage the Ezio product range.
    • You will report progress on key sales activities in the African region to management on a regular basis (bi-weekly). Participation in team meetings in Dubai & Johannesburg will be essential, with travel to other regions for global meetings from time to time.

    • To succeed at this job, you must be a high achiever as a strong IT sales hunter with extensive experience in a high value solution sales role, selling complex digital security solutions to financial institutions. A knowledge of Financial institutions back end systems and how best to integrate to such us

    ESSENTIAL

    • You must be able to manage full solution selling lifecycle including supporting the customer and internal teams in the technical integration process.
    • You must have experience selling on-prem or SaaS platform solutions
    • You must have an Engineering degree or relevant discipline with business experience.
    • You must be commercially aware with the ability to understand full business processes and integration points of security solutions within the business processes and existing infrastructure of financial institutions.
    • You must understand technology and software solution selling in the financial sector especially around digital banking security solutions and in-depth experience with implementation life-cycle across retail and corporate banking segments

    • We are looking for someone who is articulate, tenacious and ambitious with a high degree of personal integrity who can build and maintain close relationships with key decision makers and stakeholders, to understand needs and priorities of the customer.
    • You must be able and willing to travel widely within Africa for customer meetings and occasionally global travels for internal meetings
    • Travel flexibility is essential for the role ( ~50% of your time will be travelling in Africa)
    • Other requirements
      • Must be will to relocate to Kenya or be a Kenyan National.
      • Minimum 5 years' experience in similar role is solutions sales ; with proven track records of success sales
      • Fluency in English language is required. French language is a plus
      • Excellent communications and presentation skills.
      • Be agile in responding to dynamic business conditions and station business needs
      • Signing of Corporate Code of Conduct and Non-Disclosure Agreement.
