    Tiko System Data Analyst

    Job description

    Triggerise seeks a Tiko System Data Analyst (TSDA) to ensure the effective analysis, triangulation, and use of Triggerise’s data to create meaningful insights and business intelligence that help us to make better decisions that will improve the design, implementation, monitoring and risk management of the various programs that we implement in the seed and contract markets including DRC, Cameroon, Burundi and Malawi. The position will be based in Nairobi, Kenya and will report to the Global Analytics Lead (GAL).

    The key role of the TSDA is to monitor data for inconsistencies, raise issues related to fraud and risk management as well as to provide data and analysis which helps to inform programming. The TSDA will also be required to support in developing dashboards to help Triggerise staff and partners better understand the data and how it can be used to help with decision-making.

    The TSDA is:

    • Committed to the mission, vision, and theory of change of Triggerise
    • Proficient in written and spoken English (and preferably French)
    • Dedicated to data driven decisions, identifying strange data patterns and possible misuses of our products
    • Proficient in business analytics and the ability to troubleshoot and unblock situations on the field
    • Efficient and proactive in approaching tasks

    The TSDA keys skills include:

    • Experience in using data analysis tools such as STATA
    • Experience of working with reporting tools such as Tableau, or other
    • Exceptional computer skills and demonstrate proficiency in using Ms Word, Ms Excel, PowerPoint, which are all necessary for the creation of visually and verbally engaging reports
    • At least an undergraduate degree in a relevant subject area
    • At least 3 years experience working with data analysis
    • Great verbal and written communication skills

    Key responsibilities include:

    • Identify and troubleshoot spikes, trends and suspicious activities with the Emerging Market Lead
    • Develop reports which triangulate data to support Emerging Market Lead in making decisions with regards to action to be taken against actors
    • Consistently complete and communicate responsibilities as per the Risk Management Process for seed and contract markets
    • Systematic creative use of data and trend analysis for improving control of processes that minimise risk
    • Identify innovations that improve cost-efficiencies to reduce cost/user on the platform
    • Develop interesting and thoughtful data analysis for partner presentations, donor reports and internal programming, highlighting innovation and impact
    • Other adhoc duties which arise related to data quality, risk management and data analysis
