    Consultant

    Terms of Reference: Request for consultants for the re-design of IEA website

    Objectives of the Consultancy and Specifications

    The purpose of this Consultancy is to revamp the IEA is to meet the currently technological changes and innovations to enable it effectively achieve its 2018 – 2022 strategic plan objectives. The following features must be guaranteed while observing the IEA branding specifications;

    • Custom Web design with unlimited number of pages
    • A design that is accessible across most popular browsers and is testable with validation tools
    • A design that allows regular improvements on look and features
    • Search Engine Optimization and ability to work well with search engines
    • Incorporate Google analytics
    • The Content Management System (CMS) should be dynamic and allow information to be easily updated by administrative staff without specialized web development skills
    • Google Map Integration
    • A personalized e-newsletter function with email option
    • Ability to incorporate all IEA social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Flickr, LinkedIn) with live update options
    • Website Security and backup
    • Interactive, use-friendly, mobile friendly and responsive design
    • Useful links to our partners
    • A Members Portal that allows members to apply online
    • Research Papers and Publications page with description, thumbnail image, and statistics of the documents and the same publications linked to eBook stores like Amazon, eBay, AbeBooks.uk and The Book Depository

    Expected Deliverables

    The consultant is expected to produce all deliverables inclusive of several rounds of feedback (to the extent that is needed) to refine the website.

    The consultant(s) will be required to:

    • Develop the website front end and modules; structure content for use on the website, build a functional website that meets the organization’s current and future needs, build a responsive site that works across all mobile and computer devices, build a website that is easily indexed by search engines, incorporate analytics to help better tailor the site to the needs of the website visitors, clear ‘call to action’ sections on the site, staff documents sharing module (intranet), site that has a global look, feel and tone of communication
    • Train IEA staff on use of the system – both intranet adaptability and external user interfaces
    • Support and maintenance: Administrative and technical support, quality control for a period of 2 months

    Method of Application

    • A detailed CV and portfolio containing candidates or firm’s qualification and experiences with samples of previous work (web links to previous work)
    • Scope of work, and availability
    • Quotation/a detailed budget for re-design and development of the IEA website
