ROLE PURPOSE STATEMENT

Overall accountability of ensuring and maintaining a healthy, safe and secure outstation management operations in all Kenya Airways stations. Ensure compliance with all the relevant industry regulatory and legislative requirements, customer airlines requirements and company procedures and policies. Plan and optimize the required resources and provide an efficient & cost-effective service delivery to Kenya Airways outstation management operations in compliance with their service level agreements.

Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities

• Contribute to the definition and development of KQ product portfolio particularly Ground handling services in Outstation.
• Work closely with Network planning to support KQ expansion in different airports and enhance growth.
• Accountable for cost & financial control within outstation as per approved Budget
• Ensure cost effective delivery of ground handling services in accordance with the agreed scope and standards
• Develop Outstation key performance indicators (KPI’s), Reporting and analysis tools.
• Responsible for planning for Stations Manpower requirement for budget purposes in line with KQ schedules and expansions.
• Ensure implementation of the Risk Management framework throughout the Kenya-airways ground operations around the network.
• Ensure closure of all non-compliance issues arising from audits and evaluations within time frame provided.
• Responsible for planning and follow-up of the Outstation budget.
• Work closely with the Commercial teams in Outstation to identify new revenue and cost saving opportunities.
• Liaise with relevant authorities in the Outstation network and ensure conformity with all regulatory requirements and organization standards
• Improve the cooperation of Outstations and the Hub team by developing and optimizing the communication process to reduce the impact of irregular operations.
• Provide for an efficient and effective organizational structure to deliver agreed scope and standard of service.
• Ensure and maintain a healthy, safe and secure working environment in compliance with company procedures, regulatory authorities and requirement of customer airlines.
• Ensure suitably trained/qualified/competent staffs are placed throughout the stations.

Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE

COMPETENCIES

• University degree or relevant professional qualification. At least 7 years of experience in Ground operations with at least 3years in managerial level.
• Customer service experience hospitality/airline industry.
• Financial awareness.
