    Biomed Technician

    Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    • Maintenance of Biomedical devices
    • Understands the technical documentation, operating principles and use of all biomedical equipment in the project; must be able at any time to give the condition and location of this equipment;
    • Creates maintenance schedules for the equipment and ensures that they are followed
    • Spare parts stocks and technical supplies
    • Store keeping
    • Technical Supplies
    • Electrical/biomedical workshop
    • Together with the Electrician, manages a technical workshop (bench, tools, equipment) for diagnostics and small repairs
    • Technical administration and Other technical works
    • Gives input and advice about the annual budget and budget revisions;
    • Supervises the implementation of outsourced technical works in other disciplines (plumbing, carpentry, welding, masonry etc.) in project premises upon request of the Logistics Manager;

    Education

    Diploma in Electrical/Electronics, Degree in electrical or biomedical engineering is desirable.

    Experience

    At least 5 years of relevant experience, previous experience with MSF or NGO’s will be an added advantage.

    Languages

    Fluency in English, Kiswahili

    Knowledge

    Computer skills (MS Office,AutoCAD,Visio)
