Job description

Fulltime: 37.5 hours per week

Salary: Dependent on Experience

Based in Nairobi, Kenya or Edinburgh, UK

• A degree in a relevent field such as Development Studies / Agricultural Development
• A minimum of 5 years of advocacy / policy experience
• Proven experience in stakeholder engagement and partnership building
• Experience working in, and proven understanding of, the not-for-profit sector and of development work in sub-saharan Africa
• The ability to build and manage strong relationships with GALVmed's project partners
• Excellent project management skills with the ability to juggle priorities
• Experience in communicating with high level executives, policy-makers and thought leaders
• Experience of working with multi-cultural teams which may be diversely located
• Experience in coalition-building and working in a team environment, managing disparate functions and teams
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to effectively communicate the pro poor agenda
• Ability and willingness to travel regularly throughout Africa
