    Marketing Service Representative - Africa

    MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

    Thompson Rivers University - TRU World is looking for one official in-country Marketing Services Representative (MSR) based in Africa.

    The MSR will represent Thompson Rivers University on a non-exclusive basis in Vietnam and to provide marketing expertise and services in order to recruit students to TRU programs in Kamloops, BC and Williams Lake, BC, Canada.

    To fulfill the duties of an MSR in the African market and in accordance with the duties outlined below.

    MARKETING DUTIES

    • Research, develop, implement, and evaluate TRU World marketing strategies in the Region.
    • Promote and market Thompson Rivers University in the region, which includes participating in student recruitment fairs.
    • Support Transnational Education with the development of articulation agreements.
    • Support the International Training Centre with recruitment for short-term training programs.
    • Recruit new agents annually and strengthen relationships with existing syndicated agent and associate network, provided the employee has no authority to make any commitments that are binding on TRU.
    • Develop agent incentives in order to ensure the maximum profit at minimum costs.
    • Meet with and report on agents in the region.
    • Receive feedback from agents, schools, and individuals. Compile information and coordinate feedback with appropriate staff.
    • Support visiting TRU staff in the region.
    • Participate in the development of new TRU promotional material.
    • Develop marketing projections and cost analysis.
    • Make recommendations for new programs and courses in response to market needs.
    • Evaluate, attend, and report on appropriate education fairs in the Region.
    • Create travel itineraries three weeks prior to any participating marketing event.
    • Produce quarterly and annual market performance reports.
    • Provide support to any subsidiary MSR in the region.
