    Vendor Managers

    About the roles

    The Vendor Relationship Manager is at the centre of Jumia’s commercial strategy. The main challenge will be to build the most relevant marketplace in Kenya, powered by the

    largest number of engaged sellers, the widest choice of products and the best prices. The successful individual will shape the way Jumia manages and animates thousands of sellers; using all levers to grow their business while improving their operational excellence and protecting the CXP.

    Specific duties and responsibilities include:

    • Reach set targets for the Jumia Kenya Marketplace
    • Structure performance, pricing and operational management in an automated way
    • Empower the Jumia Advantage Program
    • Lead the vendor animation routine
    • Drive the “Sell on Jumia” branding and marketing strategy
    • Lead the improvement of vendor experience
    • Actively participate in tech developments
    • Gather and share cross country best practices

    The Vendor Engagement Manager ensures that Jumia’s sellers stay engaged and informed by managing the online and offline communication channels.

    Specific duties and responsibilities include:

    • Design and build and execute the communication strategy for Jumia’s vendors
    • Understand Jumia’s vendors and set a tone of voice that talks to them
    • Write and send daily communications (email, SMS etc)
    • Create a social media space for the vendors
    • Organize offline events
    • Analyse vendor performance and share business insights

    Desired Candidate Profile

    Does this sound like you?

    • You have at least 4 years’ experience either in top marketing or advertising agencies, e-commerce marketing departments (VEM)
    • You have at least 4 years’ experience in management consulting, e-commerce, venture capital, company creation or retail category management (VRM)
    • You have the ability to analyze large data sets to make strategic and informed decisions
    • Proficiency in MS Office and Google tools. Photoshop knowledge is a huge plus
    • You are creative with outstanding writing skills
    • You are able to work in a competitive, fast-paced and high-pressure environment
    • You are well organised, with amazing attention to detail
    • You have strong entrepreneurial skills, leadership and drive
    • You are very independent in your work, with a strong ability to go the extra mile
    • You are able to adapt and work in a multinational environment
