    Chief Inspector

    We are seeking a Chief Inspector with the following qualifications:

    • Completion of grade 12 or equivalent with some post-secondary education required; preference will be given to individuals with education in the aerospace industry.
    • FAA A&P Mechanic and/or Transport Canada AME License is preferred. PT6A shop and related airframe experience is required (engine removal & installation, rigging).
    • PW100 and JT15D experience would be considered an asset.
    • Good written and oral communication skills.
    • Familiarity and good working knowledge of Airsoft and Microsoft Office.
    • Basic hand tools required.
    • The position will be for2 years renewable contract based at Wilson airport.
    • The Chief Inspector must be competent ¡n all tasks related to the overall operation of the quality Department.

    These accountabilities are (but not limited to):

    • Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
    • Conduct all work in accordance with company policies, quality procedures, manufacturers and customer specifications and industry regulations.
    • Liaison to the FAA as “Accountable Manager”.
    • Responsible for the overall operation of the inspection department (reference Chief Inspector duties in the applicable Repair Station Manual for details).
    • Assist the Service Center Manager with maintaining shop work flow and organization.
    • Review and update all documents related to the work being performed.
    • Receive incoming Gas Turbine engines.
    • Disassemble engines as required.
    • Detail inspect all engine parts as required. Inspectors perform visual and dimensional inspection on individual parts as specified ¡n work instructions.
    • Balance rotating components.
    • Assemble main engine, modules and all sub-assemblies.
    • Flow test of individual components and assemblies.
    • Prepare engine for dispatch.
    • Travel will be required to assist in field service work.
    • Related Airframe Experience a plus (Engine Removal & Installation, Rigging)
    • Perform other departmental duties as requested.
