    Technical Sales Officer

    THE JOB:

    We are looking for skilled, committed, self-driven and result oriented individual to fill in the position of a Technical Sales Officer in ours sales department at Dudutech. The position is based in Mount Kenya.


    JOB SUMMARY

    The Technical Sales Officer will take an active role in collaborating with the National Sales & Field Support Manager to provide service to Dudutech’s clients in his/her region, undertaking market research and maintain professional and good working relationship with Dudutech’s partners including distributors, agents and ends users.


    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Reporting to the sales Manager, the incumbent will be required but not limited to;-

    • Service existing clients, obtain orders and identify new potential clients, opportunities and markets to increase sales of the company products.
    • Prioritize activities in different areas, recommending the needed courses of action both short, medium and long term
    • Understand the end users structure, decision makers, and establish contacts accordingly.
    • Monitor and report new market developments including new crops and new projects
    • Help and support distributors' activities via promotion of products through pre & after sales activities.
    • Maintain and develop working relationship with existing distributors and agents and assist them in increasing sales.
    • Promote products and solutions through demo plots, field days, seminars, farm visits, and use of website.
    • Training and capacity building of customers (distributors, agents and end users) professional staff in IPM technologies
    • Understanding the pest management working protocols of conventional and IPM plots and identifying customers' difficulties in implementing the IPM protocols.
    • Submit work programs, plans, suggestions for new activities and developments and required budget.
    • Ensuring clients operate within approved credit terms
    • Preparation products sales budget(forecasting)and actively participate setting the targets
    • Preparing products business plans and sales strategy for the region
    • Updating job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities
    • Run and operate all activities within ISO 9001:2015 framework

    DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS/COMPETECIES

    • A science degree with a major field of study in Agriculture or Horticulture from a recognized University
    • Must possess 3 years’ experience
    • Ability to determine solutions for customers (consultative sales approach).
    • Must be results-orientated and able to work both independently and within a team environment.
    • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Must be proficient in using computers.
    • Must possess a valid driver’s license.

    REMUNERATION:

    Dudutech will offer a package commensurate with the applicants experience and benchmarked to the industry
