    Digital Right Campaign Officer

    Responsibilities

    • Support the design, scheduling, implementation, and documentation of digital rights program activities and correspondence (training, workshops, events, meetings and convenings).
    • Contribute to the development and delivery of creative and high-impact digital rights campaigns.
    • Input into planning and reporting on project activities and strategies to strengthen the impact of digital rights programs.
    • Monitor and report on overall programme delivery and progress (activities, objectives, expenditure, and risk) through regular communication and scheduling programme review meetings.
    • Prepare and facilitate preparations of project budgets, determining and utilising financial and other resource needs to ensure effective financial management within the program.
    • Requisition and account for financial, other resources and services needed for implementation of digital rights program activities.
    • Provide event organisation/conference management and travel schedule, including coordinating logistics for program staff on missions.
    • Collaborating actively with global campaigns and research teams on digital rights-related projects.
    • Supervise interns and volunteers as may be delegated by the line manager.

    EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

    Essential

    • Commitment to Amnesty values and objectives.
    • A first degree in human rights, social sciences, management, or another appropriate discipline.
    • At least two years of human rights-related program/administration experience.
    • Experience in administering and coordinating a program team.
    • Confident communications with good analytical, presentation and digital skills.
    • Knowledge of digital rights, data governance and data protection.
    • Sensitivity and ability to work with people from various cultural and social backgrounds.
    • Ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and diplomatically.
    • Demonstrated project management and administration skills.
    • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
    • Strong organizational, planning, and administrative skills

    Desirable

    • Experience working in an NGO human rights context.
    • Experience in participating in campaigns through the complete campaign lifecycle (issue identification, strategy development, campaign delivery, monitoring, campaign exit and impact assessment)
