    Learning Support Teacher

    Role Summary
    The Learning Support Teacher will support teachers in fostering an inclusive learning environment tailored to the developmental needs of nursery-aged children. The teacher will assist in creating and implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and ensure alignment with the principles of the International Baccalaureate (IB) Early Years framework.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Identify and support nursery-aged children with diverse learning needs.
    • Deliver personalized, play-based instruction to children, fostering their cognitive, social, and emotional development.
    • Monitor and document the developmental progress of children using appropriate early childhood assessment tools.
    • Recommend and implement early intervention strategies within a play-based, inclusive classroom environment.
    • Develop and maintain progress reports tailored to the unique needs of young learners.
    • Lead the creation of IEPs for individual students, liaising with the teachers on action plans.
    • Collaborate with Class Teachers to model, co-teach and evaluate inquiry-based learning approaches.
    • Assist in shaping policies and procedures that promote early identification and support for young learners.
    • Coordinate with internal and external support services and agencies.

    The requirements

    Qualifications and Experience:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Education (Special Needs) with specialisation in early childhood education.
    • Certification in methods of educational assessments and access arrangements.
    • 5 years of working experience in an international school.
    • Proven ability to work effectively in a multicultural collaborative team and environment.
    • Teachers Service Commission (TSC) registration certificate.
    • Certificate of good conduct.
